Physical infrastructure is becoming autonomous. IoT devices now have their own wallets and can transact onchain. Solar panels can settle micropayments as energy flows.
EV chargers can autonomously pay for electricity. Physical machines are becoming economic actors, transacting in real time with USDC, with no humans in the loop. Until now, we’ve mostly seen this in software. Cloud-based AI agents buying compute, data, and APIs from each other.
Agent-to-agent commerce enabled by nanopayments. But the same economics that unlock digital agent commerce also unlock machine-to-machine payments in the physical world. There’s a project building this infrastructure layer, and after reviewing their work, it’s worth highlighting: BoAT (@tlay_io). BoAT (github.com/boat-x/BoAT4) is a lightweight C SDK (~30–40 KB) that brings @circle Gateway + Nanopayments to resource-constrained IoT devices. Here’s why this matters: Existing Node.js SDKs can’t run on embedded hardware.
BoAT solves this. Now devices like solar panels, EV chargers, and mining rigs can autonomously transact onchain. The technical implementation is elegant. The SDK integrates x402 payment flows, EIP-3009 gasless transfers, and Circle Gateway’s crosschain USDC movement. All optimized for devices with limited memory and compute power (think ESP32 chips running FreeRTOS). The flagship use case here is pay-as-you-go energy. Solar panels and battery systems that accept USDC for real-time electricity consumption. Devices autonomously pay small amounts for energy as it’s used.
No human intervention. No billing cycles. This mirrors existing pay-as-you-go solar models in emerging markets, but upgrades them to be fully onchain, programmable,
and settlement-agnostic. A solar panel isn’t waiting to send you an invoice.
It’s settling micropayments continuously as energy flows. So what’s the signal here: @circle Gateway + Nanopayments are becoming the payment layer for the machine economy. Economic actors operating independently,
whether they’re software agents in a data center or devices embedded in physical infrastructure. Worth checking out the GitHub repo and reading the full technical breakdown from the BoAT team on how they’re bringing x402 to physical devices, with @arc testnet.

In code we trust too. 🧑🏻‍💻 @ddisparte And that's exactly why we've been building on @arc since day one. Dante Disparte just dropped a report that should be required reading for every founder, investor and builder in finance. Great read. The numbers are staggering: $30 TRILLION in stablecoin transactions. Annually. $8B+ in tokenized US Treasuries. $10B+ in tokenized bonds. A $16 to $30 TRILLION market forming right now. But the numbers are only half the story. When AI agents start transacting autonomously, they won't wait for bank hours. They won't fill out wire forms. They'll settle in USDC. In milliseconds. 24/7/365. The agentic economy isn't coming. It's already being built. 🤝 Meanwhile, @garrytan just announced @ycombinator will invest in startups using stablecoins. Their first $500K investment settled entirely in USDC. Read that again. Y Combinator. $USDC. Not ACH. Not wire. And @ddisparte said it best: "The clay tablets of Mesopotamia gave way to tally sticks. Today, as money becomes code, the face of money is changing once again." This is not a prediction. This is already happening. @Barclays is in. @BlackRock is in. @Mastercard is in. @ycombinator is in. Instant settlement. Programmable money. Borderless finance. The question is not IF the financial system moves on-chain. @circle and Arc Network are building the foundation for exactly this. The Economic OS for the internet. Stablecoin-native, sub-second finality, institutional grade. The infrastructure layer is here. All the tools are here! As @jerallaire said: "No single company can build it alone." The question is who builds on top of it. At @Meridian_Fi, we chose our side early. Payment infrastructure, treasury, agentic commerce. On Arc since day one. And we're not alone. Talented builders around the world are shipping incredible products on this stack every day. The ecosystem is growing fast. The answer is being written right now. In code. By all of us. The internet had HTTP. Finance now has USDC. The revolution will not be wired. It will be coded. 🌐 linkedin.com/posts/fiiinsti…

Crosschain forwarding to @solana is now live for Circle CCTP and Bridge Kit. Circle’s forwarding service automates destination-chain execution for crosschain USDC transfers, reducing operational complexity while improving speed and reliability. → Automate the final mile of crosschain transfers → Reduce end-to-end transfer time → Lower operational costs and third-party risk → Improve both developer and user experience Supported for routes to @arbitrum, @avax, @base, @ethereum, HyperEVM from @HyperliquidX, @inkonchain, @LineaBuild, @monad_xyz, @optimism, @0xPolygon, @SeiNetwork, @solana, @SonicLabs, @unichain, and @world_chain_, with more blockchains expected. Circle Skills up and available in the @cursor_ai Marketplace. cursor.com/marketplace/ci… The pace and speed of apps built with Circle is accelerating with AI Skills proliferation. I am seeing new apps popping up faster than at any time in our history. Blockchain Dev used to be really hard; now you can vibe could apps with native internet money. Incredible.

Stop and read this again. Largest tokenized dollar. Largest tokenized Euro. Largest tokenized money fund. Largest tokenized stock. One company. Four categories. All #1. Five years ago people debated whether tokenization was real. Today @circle owns every leaderboard. - USDC at $81.1B ATH. - EURC the largest tokenized euro. - USYC at $2.3B surpassing BlackRock. Mastercard just paid $1.8B for stablecoin payment rails. And the tokenized stock market is just getting started. This isn’t about crypto anymore. This is the financial system rebuilding itself in real time. Every asset class, every currency, every instrument. Token by token. The builders who understand this now are the ones who will define the next decade of finance. That’s the bet we’re making every day at @Meridian_Fi on @arc.

Circle sits at the heart of tokenization: - USDC the largest regulated tokenized dollar - EURC the largest regulated tokenized euro - USYC the largest tokenized money fund - CIRCLE - now the largest tokenized stock in the world (RWAxyx shows the leaderboard: app.rwa.xyz/stocks)

AI agents that can spend USDC. Autonomously. ClawRouter from BlockRunAI was a standout winner in the USDC OpenClaw Hackathon, pushing the boundaries of agentic commerce onchain. Join @samconnerone and Vicky Fu live on Mar 19 at 2PM ET for a deep dive into the winning build: → Per-agent USDC wallets → Autonomous model selection via local scoring → Pay-per-inference with signed USDC authorizations → How to run and extend it locally See how hackathon ideas turn into real, composable infrastructure for the agent economy. Stablecoins backed by T-Bills are quietly becoming the largest buyers of US government debt. @circle’s USYC alone holds $2.2B+. USDC reserves hold $78B+ in Treasuries and repos. Add Tether and you’re looking at stablecoin issuers collectively holding more US debt than most countries. The implication: every dollar minted as $USDC or $USYC creates new demand for US Treasuries. That lowers yields, reduces borrowing costs for the US government, and strengthens the dollar globally. The irony? The same governments that questioned crypto are now quietly benefiting from stablecoin growth funding their own debt. On-chain finance isn’t replacing traditional finance. It’s funding it.

Supporting multiple chains means managing USDC balances across all of them. In this guide, @hj_chen walks through how to consolidate crosschain USDC on @arc: → Bridge USDC via CCTP Fast Transfer → Consolidate into a unified EVM address → Deposit into Gateway → Execute near-instant crosschain payouts Fewer balances. Cleaner treasury logic. Read the full implementation: circle.com/blog/consolida…
