On #WorldOceansDay, we bring to you 'Ocean Oversights', a series focusing on the small things that we can do at an individual level to reduce our negative impact on the #oceans. This post focuses on things to be mindful about when we go to the #beach for #recreation! 1/2

Can you guess which #turtle this is? Hints: 1. This picture is from the Sundarbans, #India. 2. Look at the shape of the snout (nose). 3. Its only found in the Sundarbans in West Bengal and Odisha in India and Bangladesh. Reply to this tweet to answer!

This year's World Environment Day theme is 'Only one earth'. We have one earth that we share with the animals and plants. Let's all be more cognisant of how our actions impact not just the animals around us directly but also to the environments they live in.

As much as we’d not like it to be, today is the end of Turtle Month of May, 2022. Looking back at the highlights of this turtle month, we sincerely thank Rahul Kulkarni & the Eco Echo Foundation for facilitating a successful turtle walk in Vadodara, Gujarat. @EcoEchoFoundat1

He was a cartonera (paper mache) artist and made sculptures of these strange animals, also coined the term then. When his work caught attention, he started using wood to sculpt, and people caught on. This is one such alebrije. 3/3

Pedro Linares made the first alebrije. He dreamt of strange mythical forest, where the trees, clouds & rocks turned into strange creatures like “donkey with butterfly wings”, “lion with eagle head”, etc. All of these animals in his dream were shouting ‘Alebrije! Alebrije!’. 2/3
