There are so many brilliant scientists in India who have done incredible work across different fields, yet we rarely hear about them while they are alive. Their stories often reach us only when they appear in textbooks or when a homage is written in their honour. Shouldn't the younger generation get to know about these people while they're still around to see that science in India is alive, creative, and happening now? That is why @NandiniChilkam and I have been reaching out to universities and research labs, asking them to support us in creating books and comics that spotlight today's scientists, the ones quietly shaping the future but known only within their own circles. Comics can make their stories accessible, fun, and inspiring for young readers and even adults. Read a lab in Bengaluru, doing some incredible work, came across a tweet, otherwise would have never known about them. When we were kids, we used to dream about becoming scientists. At least my generation did. But somewhere along the way, we turned science into just another subject tied to marks, instead of a world full of curiosity and wonder.
