@Wolf_Tech @mario4thenorth The tax money would still be needed for the infrastructure of the country to work and the government to function. If you give all these corporations an exemption from the taxes that money still has to come from somewhere, and where is left? The people of the country.

Want good paying jobs and hire Canadains first easy. Put in LAW that if companies hire canadians they pay zero corporation taxes, and Zero Captial gains taxes. The more they hire with good wages the less taxes they pay. make it a percentage. Like if 100% canadian jobs then zero / zero if only 50% canadian then 10% / 10% taxes if zero canadian jobs then 50% /50% taxes.

Carney has no idea. If corporations can’t bring cheap labour to Canada, Corporations will ship jobs to other countries. HE’S ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN. The job loss numbers in the coming months will be massive.

A 20-year senior FA might see that rate on paper, but only for ‘block time’…wheels up to wheels down. They’re not paid for boarding, safety checks, delays, or deplaning. Which is 30–40 hours of FREE labour every month. A 12-hour duty day often pays 8. Would you ever tell your steelworkers that 3 hours of their shift doesn’t count? MyTH 2: ‘free travel’ FAs pay taxes, surcharges, and fees on every standby ticket. And it’s standby ….meaning they only fly if a seat’s left after paying customers and upgrades. On popular routes, they get bumped again and again. It’s not a perk, it’s a lottery. That T4 from Air Canada shows many FAs earning ~$40K–$50K a year. That’s about $3,300/month before tax. For a safety-critical job responsible for hundreds of lives at 40,000 feet, that’s poverty wages in cities like Toronto or Vancouver. So let’s be clear: travel perks don’t erase unpaid hours. And waving around a top-scale pay rate that almost no one reaches is weak sauce. In steel, every minute on the floor counts. In aviation, flight attendants are told their safety work isn’t ‘real work.’ That’s wage theft!!

I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border.   In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million.   Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together.
