Finished welding, still opinionated. Critical thinking is a powerful thing. Neither left or right.

Government support for the new construction market has arrived. Just a few weeks ago we also learned the Ontario government is providing capital to purchase unsold units in bulk.

Ok I just received a $38,000.00 dividend. $TCL.A.TO sold the bulk of their company and decided to distribute the money to shareholders. $20/share dividend. It was a $23 stock and now is at $5. What would you do with the cash tomorrow if $38k hit your account today?

I have a friend who: - Gets 10 sick days/year - Is allowed to bank them, up to 85 - Already has 40+ banked - Refuses to use them because he might "need" them one day - Takes a holiday day instead - Has disability in case he gets really sick Insane behaviour, right?

@danielfoch Why do other provinces have to pay for a train from Toronto to Quebec? I live in Vancouver and we don't even have via rail here. Five trains in the morning. Five trains out at night.

@danielfoch @JohnPasalis @WiseArny @tobi It would all work better if the land wasn't such an expensive component. Lower land values leaves more money for the building.

@JohnPasalis @WiseArny Builders stop building when profit falls, not prices. If cost structure fell accordingly, they’d happily keep building. Firms exist to make profit. They don’t just want to “stop building”… it’s how they make money They just can’t afford to do it for free Cc @tobi

You can’t argue that housing becomes affordable by making it more profitable to build And then assume builders want to flood the market to drive prices down (making building less profitable) The fact is that builders stop building when prices fall
tobi lutke@tobi

@HarryBingus Affordable housing is 100% grift and fake. The way to make housing affordable is to make it more straightforward and profitable to build housing. The prices will go down. Replicated in every place and every time it’s tired.

@BCLionsDen @VancouverSun It's actually governments that love these towers. They can tax the same piece of property 20 or 30 times over & over. Those towers are like money-printing machines for governments.

So Trump admin is [rightly] panicking about the Strait of Hormuz so they’re going to try to get Iran to agree to a 1-month ceasefire to negotiate during which I’m sure Trump wants the Strait open Iran’s main leverage is the closed Strait and was attacked during last negotiations

@DividendGrowth I missed out on the dip for Netflix, Amazon and Google in 2020. Fortunately Canadian Oil and Gas was still cheap. Investment thesis, we'll still drive cars.

People on Twitter: You missed out on Netflix, Amazon, Google by only focusing on dividends Me: If you invested in Altria in 1957, you'd have compounded at 20%/year for 50 years People on Twitter: This is a cherry picked example. That's survivorship bias

@JomboyMedia Idea - home plate umpires are notified if it's a strike or a ball and they call it accordingly.

Another wrinkle within the new Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System is that players must challenge before making any other movements This would have been ball four to Cavan Biggio, but he flipped his bat before tapping his head

And when the Next Gen came out; there was tons of hate because it “wasn’t Star Trek” and the cast probably was in fear from the fans. Again when the series with Bakula came out, it too was panned by the fans because it “wasn’t Star Trek.” Star Trek is different for everyone. 🤷🏼

@DreamDividend @guychristensen_ Respectfully disagree with Iran. I don't support entering a conflict without a plan. However, their government operates kill squads They drive around in jeeps slaughtering civilians. They've been terrorizing their people for 46 years.

You’re right, you did nothing to deserve this. Just like Iran did nothing to deserve this. Never forget who did this to you. 🫵 The Republican Party and the Republican voters of The United States of America. We as Democrats demand this ends now. But we are powerless without Republican voters joining us in demanding this admin end this all…

@biancoresearch @Datacruncher7 Couple questions to you: -What was U.S's (not Israel's) EXACT goal getting into this war? -Was/is this goal realistic and achievable? If you can answer those then you have your answer to what "victory" looks like.

Trump yesterday begins: If Iran doesn't FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 hours from this exact point in time ... ---- The "exact point in time" he posted this was 7:44 PM ET, Sat March 21. So, does the bombing begin at 7:45 PM ET Monday, March 23???
