If you average the 6 F1 qualifying sessions so far (inc sprints) and take out any non-representative tec problems etc, you get this:

@reezi02 @SportmphMark Tbf even Lance Stroll would make top 3 in this year's merc. Much in the same as Colapinto is suddenly a regular points scorer in a rejuvinated Alpine. You have to have the car underneath you.

@formulaleonog7 @brendanq85 @SportmphMark Russell was quicker than Hamilton who was past his peak. Like peak Schumacher IMO was 1999, but he won 5 more titles past his peak. The Alesi/Leclerc thing is because at one time Alesi was seen as a future Ferrari champion but they both spent years there enduring pain.

@brendanq85 @formulaleonog7 @SportmphMark I think long term, Oscar will outshine Lando. Russell is quick too but he is quickly (or slowly) becoming the new David Coulthard IMO. Kind of like Lerclerc is the new Alesi. Since i'm on this topic Piastri is Rubens, Lando is Hill. Max is Schumi. Heck, Sainz is Gerhard Berger!

Russell has gone missing already this year, Oscar fell apart less year, Norris isn’t better, Charles might be faster now but a better racer? It’s close but probably not. And Kimi is a rough diamond so too early to tell.

@SportmphMark Sure, but anyone would haha.. Pains me to say it but I feel Alonso's continued presence in the sport, as well as Hamilton's for that matter, is way of avoiding the mid 90s superstar drought wherin Mansell had to be wheeled back out so that F1 still had a big name to talk about.

NEW: Woman sentenced after mowing down a man in her Fiat 500 who was playing Rugby with his friends in south Wales. 19-year-old Lexi Dyas was caught on camera driving her car directly at Declan Mahoney, 19, while he was tossing the ball. Dyas says she ran into Mahoney because she "lost concentration chatting to a friend in the car." Mahoney fractured his arm, leg, and finger and says he has "PTSD as a result of this incident." Dyas, who was aspiring to become a nurse, sobbed in court as she was sentenced to 18 months in a "young offender institution." She was also banned from driving for about three years.

@F1BigData André deserved very well a F1 drive. Unfortunately he had only that little chance. He would be for sure a top driver in F1 if he had a chance in my opinion

@autosport LOL... If these are best 50 drivers of 2025 then yeah....LOL. So a basic example: You have a guy named Alex in p3. I know a guy named Alex in F2 who would beat him with his eyes closed, and he never even made your list....Who makes these? What are they smoking?
