@Funtivoman @Moe__Syzlak Carthagians were Berbers , Ceuta was always Berber under Berber control under Muslim Berbers or independent Berber kingdoms and rulers like count Julian or with Muslim Berber dynasties , before your Zionist entity created by the French

@Funtivoman @Moe__Syzlak We can look back in time and it’s always going Berber and Moroccan , as well as your country , since we occupied it always before and after Islam for centuries before the French created your Zionist entity

@ZNT22_ @Moe__Syzlak You're confusing Berber, Moroccan and Arab as if they were the same thing. Modern states can't simply project themselves thousands of years into the past. By that logic, half the world's borders would have to be redrawn.

@ZNT22_ @Moe__Syzlak That's not what history says. Carthaginians were Phoenicians, not Berbers. Ceuta wasn't exclusively Berber at any point in history, it passed through Phoenician, Carthaginian, Roman, Byzantine, Muslim, Portuguese and Spanish rule. History isn't rewritten by repeating slogans.

@Funtivoman @Moe__Syzlak Ceuta existed under Berbers before and after , and Cartagians and moors were Berber , not Spaniards who came from France Both cites were strict military bases with no civilian life because you built a wall and stayed hidden in it, this is what history says

David Harris@DavidHarrisNY

Why is #Spain in charge of #Ceuta & #Melilla? They’re located in Africa, not Europe. Sounds like a remnant of Spain’s colonial past. Decolonization now! End the occupation now! Unilateral recognition of their independence now! Exactly what Spain’s @sanchezcastejon deserves.

@JEDRED123 @FatimaHPepin2 Same arguments we've been discussing. Both nations have very strong historial claims over the land.We can look back in time forever. Still, it's inhabitants choose to be a part of Spain, including Moroccans.

Spain should return #Ceuta, #Melilla, and the surrounding islands, and withdraw with its head held high. That would permanently resolve the issue for #Europe,#Spain, and #Morocco. There is no other viable solution. Morocco is not meant to serve as the guardian of Europe's borders.

@BennSteil People from Ceuta and Melilla have full rights as Spanish citicens and are represented in pairlament. Many Moroccans live there and also can vote and decide. We know better than doing what the US does in Puerto Rico.

@ProfDBernstein Cheap propaganda. Almost 80 people drawned because of Moroccan negligence and It is the Spanish police trying to recover bodies from the sea and reuniting families... Not a single dead because of Spanish police or Armed Forces actions or inaction.

So Spain has killed 67 Moroccans breaching its border, all civilians. 67 a days for three years would be 73,365 people or approximately how many Gazans Hamas alleges has been killed in the war, including combatants. So Spain has the same daily death toll as the Gaza war, except that every single person they killed was a civilian, there was no precipitating massacre, they aren't at war, and there is no threat from the likes of Iran and Hezbollah looming over them.

@tahamo1189732 @leealtman @TF208No6 Not my point. I know Morocco has progressed massively over the las decades. What worries me is what is happennning with Young Moroccans, with whom we share much deeper roots. It should be the other way around by far.

@CapitalistOG It was Don Julián, an Iberian Visigoth, who opened the gates for Tariq. We can play that game forever. You should be outside your King's palace demanding accountability for denying your youth a future. Dozens have died because their own country failed them and used them as pawns.

‼️ Morocco should own Ceuta, Melilla and even Gibraltar. Which is Jabal Tariq named after the Berber general from North Africa who took it in 711. Moroccan dynasties (Almoravids, Almohads, Marinids of Fez) ruled the Rock for 750 years. Spain seized it in 1462, Britain snatched it from Spain in 1704. Europe’s last colonial fortress sits 14 km from Morocco. Decolonize it properly give the Rock back to Africa. 🤔 we may see more people swimming to other locations? What do you think about this?

Funny how some turn the Ceuta issue into a “Christian vs Muslim” fight. Morocco is America’s oldest ally since 1786, stood with the US in the Iran war. However Spain blocked US bases, opposed the operation. Perhaps it’s time for Morocco to get back Ceuta and Melilla? Loyalty > lectures. What’s your opinion?

@ZNT22_ @Moe__Syzlak Dozens of people have died because Morocco's own authorities wanted to make a political point. , Your outrage should be directed at the Moroccan institutions responsible for denying so many young Moroccans a future and turning them into political pawns...

@ZNT22_ @Moe__Syzlak Ceuta existed long before the Arab conquest: Phoenician, Carthaginian, Roman, Byzantine, Portuguese and Spanish. No credible historian claims Spain "killed all the population." If your argument is "Iberian pigs" and "NATO slave," you've replaced history with propaganda.
