People making fun of Banksy for what he looks like and being a 51 yr old dude is wild. What did you expect? He’s been at this since the early 1990's. Idgaf what he looks like. The art is what matters. Always relevant. Always thought provoking. Always makes you feel something. “Banksy is an artist who weaponized wit and beauty to make the powerful squirm and the overlooked feel seen.” - @jedi6900

Getting old shouldn't be viewed as inevitable, just because it happens to everyone. It's a disease that kills over 100,000 people a day, and hopefully it will be optional in the future.

When I was a kid I had a period of time where I obsessively needed to write down and draw out every idea I had. It drove my mom crazy. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and go into her room to wake her up and ask her to help me capture an idea I was having. I think a lot of that has carried into my art. I have so many ideas that I obsessively need to materialize, leading to a constant output. I can't really turn it off. I wonder if artists like Picasso felt the same way. 🟧🟦🟩

Agree, I think creating something with the obvious statement of "this has legs" and "could be more" is also a good option too when releasing... I honestly do believe digital art is an awesome way for young creatives with a small network to position themselves in the wider market, unlike with the traditional mediums its market tested and a relatively cheap to produce (capital investment not labour) prototype for what could be

Magic Eden is sunsetting its ME wallet, and Bitcoin and EVM marketplaces. Good riddance. Why? For Ordinals, ME was an evil necessity. It was a positive because it was an easy way to onboard non-Bitcoiners to Ordinals, as well as a solid and reliable platform. The bad stuff? Magic Eden unilaterally decided that there would be no royalties for Ordinal collections, and this led to several horrendous consequences: 1. Those royalties could have gone back to the collections, which would then have had runway to do more with their projects. The irony is that a lot of the ordinal projects are art projects, whereas Solana projects, those with utility, are meant to figure out their recurring revenue models so that they can self-sustain. Instead, even rugged projects on Solana are still collecting royalties, which do not feed back to the ecosystem. (I hold Solana NFTs btw, and I love them, but I'm calling it like it is.) 2. So where did those royalties go? To Magic Eden, of course. They kept the lot, and instead of investing it back into the ecosystem, those funds were all extracted. To the shareholders, investors and VCs. Remember that this is who corps like Magic Eden are accountable to. Not to us users. We're just the dollar signs. 3. The lack of funds crippled the Ordinals eco, which was once an incredibly vibrant space. The existence of the marketplace also hindered any serious attempt at competition. The real work begins now. From here on out, we can look at what needs to be built, and how it can be self-sustained in such a way that we re-embrace the ethos of Bitcoin and of decentralization. I for one would love to see someone upload a data package on Bitcoin so that individual ordinal collections can be incentivized to set up their own marketplaces on their own websites. It would be cool for something like a Yellow Pages for these projects to emerge, so that folks who want to buy from a collection can check out the collection in full (website, marketplace, and all) before deciding if they want to become a holder. Let's see how the market responds. But I'm feeling a bit better today about the future of ordinals ✊
