Social Security is a fucking SCAM.
Let's use Lindsey Graham's recent death as an example. Graham died at the age of 71. This is way too early to draw enough benefit from Social Security to recoup the money he was forced to pay in during his adult working life.
If he had been permitted to deposit that money into a Roth IRA or various 401k funds he would have been able to select a beneficiary that those funds would go to upon his untimely death.
As it stands - No one gets that money. The IRS keeps it.
That's fucking criminal.

Here, the @JournalSentinel reporter says it's foolish to investigate whether there's H-1B visa hanky-panky because we know that misuse is rare.
How do we know it's rare? The reporter asked lawyers whose practice depends on H-1B visas, and they say it's all OK so don't worry.

Boomers are, by far, the wealthiest generation in American history. The average net worth for a boomer is $1.4 million. They don't need subsidy and we shouldn't give it to them. If you want to have some kind of means tested exemption, that's something to be debated. There's also a debate worth having on property tax in general. But simply dumping more free money on the richest people in our country simply because they're retired (with fat stacks in the bank) is absurd. It's even crazier to "pay for it" by levying taxes on Americans who remain productive and contribute to our economic development.
