@SenAdamSchiff -- Oh. OH. The man who fabricated a presidential transcript and read it into the Congressional Record with a straight face wants to lecture the world about truth. I need a moment. "Free and independent media is essential to democracy." You know who else said that? Venezuela. Hugo Chavez said it right before he nationalized every television station and turned the press into a government mouthpiece. Russia said it right before Putin made independent reporting a criminal offense and journalists started falling out of windows at a statistically improbable rate. Turkey said it right before Erdogan jailed editors by the hundreds and shuttered 150 media outlets. Hungary said it right before Orban rewrote media law and made critical journalism economically impossible. THAT is what democracies say, Senator. Every single one of them says it right before they stop meaning it. It is practically a death rattle. Good thing we are not a democracy. We are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC -- with a First Amendment, separation of powers, and institutional guardrails specifically designed so no single party's preferred narrative becomes THE narrative. Madison designed it that way on purpose. You would know this if you read something other than your own press releases. Now let us talk about YOU and press freedom, since your audacity here is genuinely breathtaking and I am a science teacher who appreciates a specimen this rare. You are the cacafuego who sat in front of cameras for THREE CONSECUTIVE YEARS telling every American you had personally seen evidence of Russian collusion that was MORE THAN CIRCUMSTANTIAL. Evidence. That. Never. Existed. You stared into the lens of a free and independent media and LIED. Repeatedly. Enthusiastically. Professionally. You READ a fabricated parody of a presidential phone call into the congressional record and called it a "fair characterization." You championed a FISA warrant obtained using the Steele dossier -- a document your own party funded, that was never verified, that was used to spy on American citizens -- and then called anyone who questioned it a Russian asset. That is not defending a free press. That is using a compliant, incurious, ideologically captured media as a WEAPON against political opponents while wrapping yourself in the First Amendment like a poltroon hiding behind a shield he has no right to carry. You did not speak truth to power. You WERE the power. And you lied to it. Communist Goal Number 20, read into the Congressional Record by Congressman Albert Herlong on January 10, 1963: "Infiltrate the press." Goal 21: "Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures." I am not saying you had a checklist. I am saying you did not need one. Quinn's Law Number Two: pay attention to what liberals accuse conservatives of, because that is precisely what they are doing themselves. The man who manufactured a years-long intelligence hoax and fed it to a media that swallowed it without chewing is now posting about "basic facts and truths." The irony does not even embarrass him. Insipid does not cover it. Quinn's Law Number Five: when liberalism conflicts with reality, reality must give way. You are Exhibit A, framed and mounted. You are a whitewashed wall, Senator -- gleaming on the outside, hollow and rotting within. You have the moral credibility of a man who cheats on his taxes and then attends the IRS appreciation dinner. You are the reason the phrase "has delusions of adequacy" was invented. In a battle of wits you showed up with a fabricated transcript and called it ammunition. The journalists who actually need protecting -- the ones investigating government surveillance abuse, intelligence manipulation, and the specific elected officials who weaponized federal agencies against their political opponents -- those journalists need protection FROM you, Senator. Not a World Press Freedom Day post FROM you. A tree somewhere is producing oxygen for Adam Schiff. It deserves a formal apology and a commendation for service above and beyond. But what do I know -- I am only a science teacher who watched you perform three years of constitutional theater and never once saw the evidence you swore on your career you possessed. IF you agree: LIKE this post so the algorithm shows it to people who need to read it. SHARE this. COMMENT below -- name ONE journalist @SenAdamSchiff has ever protected from government overreach. @GC121968 @SenatorHick How and why did Russia steal the 2016 election from Trump? How did 5 states Trump was leading in the 2020 all stop counting ballots for 6 hours, and the second they start back up, Biden leads in all 5 states? How did Biden lead when they weren’t supposed to be counting ballots

I’ll say it until the cows come home.  The SAVE Act is voter suppression. Mail-in voting is done in red and blue states alike. It’s safe and secure.   I'm still a hell NO on the SAVE Act.

MAGA found 34,000 dead people on voter rolls and screamed FRAUD. What they didn’t tell you: ZERO of them voted. Dead registrations ≠ dead people voting. This is a known manipulation tactic-give you a scary number, hide the part that proves nothing happened. Don’t be played.

Wow, I am genuinely glad you said that. Now we can stop spending money on housing assistance -- because, you know, it is a RIGHT. And rights do not cost anyone anything to provide, right? Wait. That is not how rights work at all. See, @RepPressley, a RIGHT is something the government cannot TAKE from you. It is not something the government FORCES someone else to give you. That is called a mandate. A bill. Someone else's problem. There is a reason the Constitution says "shall not be infringed" -- not "shall be provided at others' expense." Shall we apply this logic consistently? If housing is a right, you cannot force lumber companies to donate materials. Cannot make contractors build for free. Cannot compel landlords to forfeit their property. The wheel is spinning on this one, but the hamster checked out a while ago. Oh -- but here is where it gets FASCINATING. You champion "housing justice" while your party's own single-family zoning laws, minimum lot size requirements, and weaponized environmental reviews are the DOCUMENTED reason housing costs $400,000 for a median home. 82% of residential land in major progressive cities is zoned single-family ONLY. Duplexes are ILLEGAL in most of the country. Who passed those laws? Who runs those cities? Quinn's Law #1: liberalism always generates the EXACT OPPOSITE of its stated intent. Your side made affordable housing structurally illegal for 80 years, and now you need a federal bill to fix the crisis your regulations created. And while we are here -- who exactly is going to BUILD all this housing? Because I notice you and @RepRashida are also very passionate about importing people who will work for wages your own "living wage" laws supposedly forbid. The anebellum South had a phrase for needing a captive labor class to do work nobody else would do cheaply enough. I am sure the irony is not lost on you. Actually, based on this tweet, it probably is. Here is the part that should embarrass every single person who voted for the policies creating this disaster. The first-time homebuyer median age is now 40. In 1950 it was 25. A 2024 survey of 2,000 Americans found that people now do not even FEEL like full adults until around age 27 -- not because they are lazy, but because the economic conditions government created make independence nearly impossible. In 1975, nearly HALF of all 25-to-34-year-olds had already moved out, landed a job, gotten married, AND had children. That pathway has been systematically dismantled. Median marriage age is now 27-30. Median age of first home purchase -- again, 40. The Greatest Generation felt adult by 18-21. They built this country. Your generation of lawmakers spent 80 years making it structurally impossible for young Americans to replicate that, and the solution you are offering is a bill to house people with criminal records. That did not happen because of the free market. It happened because of GOVERNMENT POLICY -- the same government that is now going to fix it with another bill. But what do I know -- I am only a science teacher who actually read the zoning codes and the 100-year history of government-manufactured housing unaffordability instead of designing legislation to solve a crisis caused by my own party's policies. IF you agree: LIKE this post so the algorithm shows it to people who need to read it. SHARE this. COMMENT below -- do you think housing is a right, or are you just describing who pays for it? A man on drugs is walking through cars stopped at a light He walks right up to a California Highway Patrol vehicle and attempts to open the door and enter CHP officers don’t arrest him, they just drive away like nothing happened The man is free to enter another vehicle. This is what it’s come too… This is a perfect example of California soft on crime policies and it’s dangerous This is why people in LA don’t even bother to call the police anymore, they don’t do anything about criminals

NEW: I’m told by federal sources that a Dominican illegal alien with a deportation order & an Interpol Red Notice arrest warrant for murder in his home county was ordered released from ICE custody on Tuesday by Rhode Island federal judge Melissa DuBose (Biden appointee). I’m told that international fugitive Bryan Rafael Gomez was arrested by ICE Boston in Worcester, MA on April 4th, and had been detained in a facility in Rhode Island where he was issued a deportation order on April 28th by an immigration judge. On Tuesday, I’m told Judge DuBose ordered Gomez be released from ICE custody on the grounds of “continuous unlawful detention”, while ICE argued that Gomez was subject to mandatory detention due to having an international arrest warrant for homicide. I’m told Gomez was released, is now roaming freely again, and ICE can’t rearrest him due to Judge DuBose’s order. He was caught and released at the southern border by the Biden administration in 2022.

I co-introduced historic legislation to increase the minimum wage to $25. As someone who taught economics at Stanford, here is why it makes sense. The real minimum wage was $14 in 1968. Today it is half, but productivity has increased 2.5x. Instead of extractive capitalism, we need a free enterprise system that pays workers what they are worth.

Ron DeSantis just rammed out a gerrymandered MAGA map that openly violates his own state constitution — and leaked it to Fox News before he gave it to the legislature. California let voters decide. Virginia did too. DeSantis won’t. He’s rigging the map because he knows he can’t win on a fair one. Donald Trump started this war on voters. DeSantis is on his knees carrying it out.
