Hey folks, I've worked it out now. Bit annoyed I didn't anticipate it sooner, but it's because I don't follow the tokenomics/SOL ecosystem much. But the events recently make total sense now. 1.) Due to the FTX liquidation settlement, 11.2 million SOL is scheduled to unlock on 1st March. At pre-dump levels, that's $2 BILLION worth of supply that's getting handed out and liquid! 2.) North Korea then hacked Bybit for $1.4B and the market moved down a bit in fear. They then started washing it around on pumpfun etc. 3.) The obvious GTO (Game Theory Optimum) move here for Binance is to mass dump SOL before this $2B unlock next week! Which they did/are doing! 4.) This then creates the perfect win win win for Binance here as they are frontrunning the anticipated SOL/general market dump, they get to do a great sidestep to then buy more tokens for free at a lower price AND all this volatility creates huge trading fees for them. Well played Binance. I respect the move. So what does this mean for us plebs?! Again, I remain ridiculously bullish! Even more so. And I've said this a lot over the last 2 months lol. a.) This is a cracking dip to fill your boots if you have fiat/stables. b.) It's created some great shorting opportunities. c.) It's giving us even more high R multiple set ups now for big positional longs. If you dare 😂 d.) All the weak hands have been flushed out now giving us all a much stronger base... e.) Interest rates will 100% fall a lot this year and the US Dollar too. Falling DXY = bullish buoyancy for risk on assets. Eventually the CBs will start printing later this year which will be great for Crypto... If there's a liquidity shock/stock market crash, then this only accelerates the 'printing' and all markets V reverse out of dodge! Just like in 2020. So dig in folks! I'm strongly thinking of selling everything in my portfolio that isn't $TAO (excluding $TAONU and $ZAPI) and piling the proceeds into $TAO...
