What is Bittensor?! If you don't like Central Banks and fiat currencies, then Bitcoin is your answer. If you don't like Sovereign State or Centralised AI entities, then Bittensor is your answer. Bittensor is the S&P500 of decentralised AI and it's outperforming the incumbents.

@SiamKidd @dsvfund A lot of FUD out there about you guys buying up subnets for redeployment. People are saying you’re land grabbing? People are saying you’re here for extraction. If a team is ready for #Bittensor, don’t you think they can register a subnet without your assistance? If they can’t, they probably are not ready to launch?

Jesus Christ people are retarded. My kid said it a few days ago and I literally told my community about it a couple of days ago, before all this stupid X stuff. It's total BS. Here's a reply I sent to someone earlier... Hi Turtle, so I've had a little community since 2013. In that time, I've had thousands of people come through. Many are 5-8 year veterans and have had hundreds of amazing life changing stories. You can look at the actual website therealistictrader.com the whole website is basically saying this is not a get rich quick thing. What you are seeing is the less than 5% of people that come in for like 2 months, do ZERO work, don't watch any of the training, expect everything to be spoon-fed and they're just blindly aping into whatever the doxxed wallet does. Or even worse, listening to other people in the discord about what to buy etc. I constantly share my stream of thoughts openly with my community on telegram and hold a live 2 hour session every week, explaining everything in depth. EVERY WEEK for 13 years. And out of the thousands of people, there have been literally 5-10 psychos that have emerged. Mental breakdowns, zero personal accountability etc etc. People that did zero research, aped in and blamed everyone but themselves. And 1 or 2 of them have nothing better to do with their lives than constantly create anonymous profiles and try and do as much slander as they can. Even on Twitter I've said endlessly that you can't be passive in dTAO. You CAN'T just buy the top market cap subnets, you shouldn't be in down only charts etc etc etc. But do people listen?!? Most do, some don't. Then I get it in the neck when they screw up. I've always said that unless you can be semi-active in dTAO, don't be in it. Just TAO in root. But if you can be active and want the dTAO upside AAAAAAAND you want to fully capitalise on this gift of an opportunity, then you need a minimum of a 2-3 year outlook, must be 100% in dTAO for the APY etc, be in revenue generating subnets or the subnets Const backs and loads of other things. Seriously, most of the weekly sessions, I just find myself saying the same things over and over again. Do people listen?! Most do...again, small minority don't. Hell, I hold physical events ever 2-3 months and go through all the same things. At the end of the day, it's all like school. You can have 20 kids in a maths class listening to the same teacher at the same time doing the identical syllabus. But the exam results are all different. Standard distribution is everywhere. And I am extremely transparent in what I do.

Urgh, need to re-prioritise some life things. The other day, when there was a discussion about this family event and if I was going to be there, my 8 year old said: "No Daddy won't be able to. We lost Daddy to Bittensor..." My heart is still crushed from this! Will be cutting down on time commitments big time now :-S :'(

@SiamKidd I think you need to tell these people on your group that trading dTAO isn’t for the feint of heart, nor people who aren’t fully invested in leaning about the bittensor ecosystem. I have seen more of this spill over onto X recently. I’m all for bringing in new investors, but briefly reading the comments these people are buying subnets blindly and expecting life changing returns. (Yes, we’ve seen it all before, but these people are paying you for trading signals)

36, 70 and 99 are all scam self mining subnets in my book. Scam until proven otherwise. @MarkCreaser @vex020900
Lucky@LLuciano_BTC

While exploring the bittensor subnets, one idea kept getting clearer to me: @leoma_ai - Subnet 99 is not trying to be “just another bittensor subnet.” It is aiming to become the video generation company that proves bittensor can compete with the biggest closed AI labs. Thanks to @MarkCreaser, CEO of DSV and investor in @leoma_ai - Subnet 99, and @vex020900, CTO of Vex|Rendix, for taking me through the vision. Also, huge respect to the rendix team for building the leoma subnet. After hearing the direction directly, it became very clear to me why this matters. One thing i want to highlight is vex. The CTO of leoma is a giga brain in AI. From what i have seen, his technical knowledge is on another level, and i believe his skill, vision, and execution will be a major reason leoma can actually build what it is aiming for. Today, @leoma_ai - Subnet 99 miners are training and fine-tuning wan 2.2, one of the strongest open-source video generation models in the world, but that is only the starting point. During the call, the team shared that leoma is preparing an initial free-version launch on April 30. This is not the final vision. It is the first public product step: showing the community that leoma has built the infrastructure to sync with the top miner’s model and turn subnet competition into a real user-facing product. That's what matters the most. Because a subnet should not only produce emissions. It should produce a product. The real goal is much bigger: a 25B+ leoma-native video generation base model, which will be built by the rendix team, released as open source, and then improved through bittensor’s miner competition. This is where things become serious. Building a 25B+ video model will cost millions of dollars. GPUs, training infrastructure, datasets, storage, inference optimization, evaluation, and scaling are not small expenses. This is the level of infrastructure normally reserved for google, openai, xai, runway, and other giant AI labs. That is why I believe funding leoma’s infrastructure matters. ⇢ Without serious infrastructure, there is no serious model. ⇢ Without serious model training, there is no real challenge against closed-company SOTA. ⇢ Without subnets willing to take that level of challenge, bittensor will never prove its full potential. So yes, I will help support leoma’s infrastructure push, this is not just a support. But to help give leoma the resources it needs to build the 25B+ base model, support miner fine-tuning, scale evaluation, and move toward a real video generation product. Remember, no bittensor subnet has ever pushed past the largest open-source models in its field and gone directly after closed-company SOTA, leoma is aiming to do exactly that. ⇢ Not by writing another roadmap. ⇢ Not by pretending decentralization alone is enough. ⇢ But by combining capital, infrastructure, miners, validators, and open-source development around one objective: THE BEST MODEL WINS. If leoma can deliver video quality competitive with closed AI companies while offering generation at 3x–5x lower market cost, that is not just a win for leoma. That is a proof-of-concept moment for all of $TAO. Imagine a bittensor subnet producing video quality that competes with the biggest closed labs, while being cheaper, open, and continuously improved by miners. That is the kind of subnet bittensor needs. That is the kind of subnet that changes the narrative. ⇢ I am not promising @leoma_ai - Subnet 99, becomes the top subnet overnight. ⇢ I am not promising they beat every closed AI lab tomorrow. ⇢ But I believe this is one of the most important attempts happening on bittensor right now. TIME WILL TELL. But if leoma pulls this off, it will not just be a game changer for leoma. It will be a game changer for bittensor. To all $TAO holders: I strongly suggest you take a serious look at leoma. Read their papers, study the vision, and understand why this subnet could matter for the future of bittensor: leoma.ai/Leoma_Whitepap… leoma.ai/Leoma_Litepape…

Did somebody say SOTA???.... Yes we did!!! Here is a Sneak Peek from our upcoming Vidaio benchmark report. A lower score is better, but negative is best! Vidaio came in at -23.5% vs FFmpeg That means Vidaio achieved the same perceptual quality using significantly fewer bits. Why does this matter? Because every extra bit in video becomes a cost: Storage. Bandwidth. CDN. Edge replication. At scale, compression efficiency is not a technical detail; it is financial savings. More from the full benchmark report coming soon! VidaioOS is the product. Subnet 85 is the engine. @vidaio_ $TAO

Alas not. There are many big deep pooled subnets out there doing bugger all. They gamed stuff early on in dTAO or they did well and then stopped doing stuff. So if you allocate injections based on pool depth (which by the way is almost identical order to market cap), then the top 15 subnets will suck up all injections regardless if they are active or not. So it's an even bigger barrier for fresh new subnets that are legitimately beasting it. Taoflow rewards inflow which is a proxy for activity. Subnets doing not get emissions, but they would if you used market cap or Tao pool depth. Also regardless of injections, the Valis and miners aren't affected. Every subnet spits out 2952 alpha to valis and 2952 alpha to miners every single day, regardless of the emissions of a subnet. Injections (TAO and "alpha in" (which is variable) go to the pool. Emissions "alpha out" are fixed. So as Valis and Miners always get the same amount of alpha each day, the % of injections emissions doesn't really bother or affect them. What matters to them is the PRICE of the subnet. And price goes up when a subnet gets positive TAO inflows.

Appreciate the response. I guess said differently, total Tao in the pool (as a proxy for market cap) seems like a more effective method for determining overall injection of Tao into the pools. Could even be total Tao as a % of all Tao staked in subnets. Yes it rewards older subnets but only so long as they continue to deliver value as priced by the market. Has the same effect as Tao flow. Net outflows of Tao reduces injections. Net inflows increase injections. But stabilizes flow longer term and arguably better than the 30 EMA method now. The point is: large, seemingly successful, growing projects need sustained emissions to justify ongoing investment by miners and sustained positive inflows is impossible at the limit because Tao supply is finite

Can someone please explain to me why outright bittensor:native market caps for each subnet is not a better mechanism than the current Tao flow models. I get conceptually that increased allocations to a particular subnet allow for new and genuinely innovative approaches to get rewarded, but if the market collectively believes that a particular subnet is most valuable, should it not be most rewarded? Implicitly, by rewarding Tao flow you’re suggesting the market is lazy and won’t move from one subnet to another if the opportunity set is better elsewhere and that instead the margin buyer/seller (the flow) should determine the rewards to the holder (the stock). Given TAO has a fixed supply, this is also inherently a zero-sum approach…there are (for now) a fixed number of subnets and ultimately a fixed number of TAO (21M). Tao flow implies that at an equilibrium state in the future that some of the largest subnets will go from large to zero emissions because the marginal buyer/seller made it so. Prices are set on the margin but staking rewards should be set by market cap. Tao flow is an attempt to solve the long-only constraint and impact of market manipulation from various speculators. Solve that by enabling long and short positions in alpha tokens. That’s a better incentive mechanism to mitigate price and stake manipulation if well informed parties can take the opposite side of a trade and wipe out the speculator’s initial principal. The market will reward subnets that produce value long term but miners need substantive emissions and Tao flow distorts that mechanism @Old_Samster @const_reborn @markjeffrey @bloomberg_seth @jaltucher @SiamKidd @BarrySilbert
