I have lost a huge amount of respect for @DoctorKarl. I grew up listening to @triplej and loving Dr Karl’s segments. I too identify as a science nerd. Blocking @ShackelWill because you disagree with his views about nuclear energy? Dr Karl. Do better.

With less than 6 months until the next Australian federal election, the latest @Accent_Research | RedBridge MRP estimates the Coalition would win between 64-78 seats if an election were held now, and Labor 59-71 Read on for details

BREAKING: We’ve just passed our Build to Rent legislation which paves the way for the construction of 80,000 new homes to rent. These 80,000 rental properties will have a minimum of 5-year leases and 10% of these homes will provide subsidised rent for low- and moderate-income earners. And these Build to Rent projects will be prevented from using no fault evictions. That's security and stability for 80,000 households. We’re working across Government and with states and territories to help build more homes, making it easier for Australians to rent and buy.

80,000 new rental properties with the option of 5-year leases. That's security and stability for 80,000 households. And 10% of these homes will provide subsidised rent for low- and moderate-income earners. This is what our Build to Rent bill will deliver if it passes Parliament this week. We've been working hard with crossbenchers and key stakeholders to make sure we're passing the best bill possible and I want to thank them for working so constructively with our government. It was a pleasure to join @DavidPocock, @spenderallegra, @KyleaTink, Mike Zorbas from the @PropertyCouncil, Wendy Hayhurst from @CHIA_News, and John Engeler from @NationalShelter to announce some of the good faith work we've been doing together to deliver these new rental homes for Australians.
