Last night I won an award for my reporting on how the Army is trying to fix a high accident spike in its aviation force. I didn’t do a good job of articulating what I wanted to because there was a guy in a 70s baby blue blazer holding the mic for me and telling me to be quick but what I wanted to say is that the work I did that was nominated was good because of myself but also a whole team of people that are no longer at my company either willingly or not willingly and I miss them and the journalism I was doing. I want to thank those people not there and hope they know how appreciated they truly are. Some of them are with me in this pic. Also recipients of awards for work done at Defense News and MilTimes. Love you guys always!
