About Gorey Pedestrian and Cycling Association Gorey Pedestrian and Cycling Association is a newly formed group whose members come from all different walks of life. We share one thing in common:

Courtown & Riverchapel Town Centre First Plan - Secondary School Students Workshop (4th to 6th year Students) Thursday 23rd January from 7pm - 9pm in the Riverchapel Star of the Sea National School Y25 DE28. Registration is from 6:45pm. 4th, 5th and 6th Year students from all post-primary schools serving the area are invited to attend and have their say in the Town Centre First Plan for Courtown & Riverchapel. This workshop is an important opportunity for the Town Team and project consultants to understand the specific views and opinions of younger people in the community. The students will be given specific tasks to explore specific issues and opportunities for the area. The findings of the workshop will be collated by the project consultants and reviewed and analysed to inform the preparation of the Town Centre First Plan.

Today is Make Way Day 2024, an annual event that highlights everyday obstacles on footpaths that make it difficult for people with disabilities to use public streets. Our Access Team, some Elected Members and some local organisations working with people with disabilities, are out for a walkability audit in Gorey today to identify any potential issues or improvements that could be implemented. Another area in need of lighting is from The Paddocks housing estate to Gorey Business Park. With lots of children going to activities in the business park and the pitch beside it, we hope this area is next on the list! #Gorey #Wexford #ActiveTravel

⚡Let there be light!⚡💯 Great to see new streetlights outside Garden City GAA pitch! This was one of the areas we highlighted to the council as being in need of lighting to help people stay safer walking and cycling, especially on winter mornings and evenings.

Our first ever art competition for #BikeWeek2024! The entrants did such a fantastic job in showcasing the fun and freedom of cycling, and their creativity was amazing to see. Local artist Kate Cos judged the competition, with winners receiving vouchers for Revolve Bike Shop 🚲
