@FOX5Atlanta Dumb…because it has been proven time & again this does not increase their individual spending power as it leads to inflation, as the raises were not earned out of free market competition between individuals, but forced as an extra expense. This is economics 101.

@DouglasLFarrar You do not know that….you have no idea what the debt restructure would have been, the cost synergies, the new revenue opportunities with a new launch. However we do know when the govt gets involved it will be done wrong. The DOJ & DOT in 2023/24 screwed thus one up.

JetBlue's own founder said in leaked audio that the airline may go bankrupt this year. JetBlue hasn't turned a profit in six years. Now imagine them absorbing Spirit's debt while jet fuel doubles.
The merger wouldn't have saved Spirit. It would have taken JetBlue down with it.

The usual suspects are blaming Biden's DOJ for blocking the JetBlue merger. They're wrong.
Spirit was killed by three things: shareholder greed, corporate mismanagement, and Donald Trump's war with Iran.

@SoccerwithDoug I see him on the left, right, and central tonight and always. Don’t get so wrapped up in where they stand at the kick or when defending. Offensively the movements are different. I do agree we want him touching the ball as much as possible.

@AP The Biden DOJ should not have blocked the Spirit/JetBlue merger in March 24. The DOJ argument was the merger would result in higher ticket cost for consumers, & potentially less flights for consumers. Now they have zero flights & there is less competition. Well done Biden DOJ! 👏

@bonchieredstate @BrendaWilsonIN No one should pay property tax on their primary residence imho. The challenge with seniors that stay in their home for decades, the increased property values push them into taxation that is unaffordable, forcing them to sell & move. That is often an eggregious ask for the elderly

@BrendaWilsonIN Seniors are the wealthiest demographic. Many own their homes outright or have very low interest rates.
Why should they be exempted while 35 year olds with families to support foot the bill?

My opponent voted AGAINST exempting senior homeowners sixty five and older from crushing property taxes! This is "NO GOODE!"
Our seniors, most of whom are on a fixed income, deserve to live in their homes with dignity. Had this amendment passed, they would have owned their home without having to rent from the government.
As your next State Senator, I will ALWAYS fight for tax relief for the people who helped build Indiana and who deserve our utmost respect— OUR seniors!

@hscottyoung @UrbanizeATL Miami is single digits btw. Dallas about 15%. This is basically just a difference between old cities & new cities where growth happened more recently. NYC in sharp decline…even lost 12% of its school age population in 2025.

@UrbanizeATL These numbers are misleading for city residents, as the City of a Atlanta population is only 8% of the Metro. That’s by far the lowest percentage of any of the top 6 largest Metros. NYC, for example, is over 40% of the metro numbers (which includes parts of NJ and CT)
