$VOO P/E: 28.52 $SCHD P/E: 17.46 $VOO is essentially a market cap weighted fund of the top 500 companies in the US. $SCHD on the other hand, uses an algorithm that naturally gravitates the fund toward purchasing undervalued companies with rock solid balance sheets 💰

Luxury clothes are the most wasteful expense out there. Luxury cars, homes are still valuable and appreciated by the masses. A nice dinner is worth the dough. 99% can't even tell if a luxury clothing item is actually expensive, plus they are mostly uncomfortable as hell

I think Europeans take for granted living in Europe. You can just buy a ticket on a whim to fly to Greece, Italy, France, England, Slovenia, Croatia, Malta, whatever takes your fancy, for a quick weekend getaway. Often for really cheap too via Ryanair, like way cheaper than Spirit was. I just bought a ticket to Rome from Barcelona for ~€40. 🤯 And you don't even need a passport. Many Europeans don't even have a passport due to the Schengen Area. In the US, if you fly 3 hours away, you end up in freaking Topeka, Kansas with nothing to do. In Europe, you could end up in the Swiss Alps, the Mediterranean coast, quaint Italian towns, French vineyards, the Eiffel Tower, the freaking Colosseum, etc. etc.

Why the head on a man's penis is larger than the shaft? Several years ago, Great Britain funded a study to determine why the head on a man's penis is larger than the shaft. The study took two years and cost over 1.2 million pounds. The study concluded that the reason the head of a man's penis is larger than the shaft is to provide the man with more pleasure during sex. After the results were published, France decided to conduct their own study on the same subject. They were convinced that the results of the British study were incorrect. After three years of research at a cost of in excess of 2 million Euros, the French researchers concluded that the head of a man's penis is larger than the shaft to provide the woman with more pleasure during sex. When the results of the French study were released, Australia decided to conduct their own study. The Aussies didn't really trust British or French studies. So, after nearly three hours of intensive research and a cost of right around 75 dollars (three cases of beer), the Aussie study was complete. They concluded that the reason the head on a man's penis is larger than the shaft is to prevent your hand from flying off the end and hitting you in the forehead.

Keating is of an era when buying shares meant calling a broker. He doesn't seem to have noticed that young Australians now buy global ETFs on their phone in seconds. The people opposing CGT changes aren't who he thinks they are. x.com/FinancialRevie…

The former prime minister criticised wealthy people who had “feasted” on lightly taxed capital gains for years and now opposed a return to the model he set up in 1985. ebx.sh/oiXxox

I honestly have no idea what "a lot of money" even is anymore. 100K saved? 300K invested? 500K liquid? Buddy of mine had 10K in the bank and felt comfortable enough to buy a new (used) car and upgrade to a nicer apartment. Absolutely blew my mind.

You don't need 17 ETFs Most need - 1 core US stock ETF - 1 international ETF if you want global exposure - 1-2 growth or dividend funds depending on their plan This goal isn't to build a complicated portfolio It's to build one that's easy to stick with.

You call me a broken clock, you get blocked. I’m not broken. And it’s a dumb analogy - not every minute of the day has the same level of importance. There are weeks that define years. Minutes that define days.

Two Australians. Both bought $50K of BTC in early 2024. Same coin. Same week. Same patience. Both are sitting on roughly $90K now. Identical performance. One held it in their individual name. After last week's budget, they'll pay $12K-$19K tax when they sell. The other held theirs in an SMSF accumulation account. Same gain. They'll pay around $4K. That's a $15K difference on a single trade. Compound it across five trades in a 10-year cycle and the first investor pays the second's house deposit in taxes they didn't need to. The most boring decision in crypto investing just became the most expensive one to get wrong.

If a country hasn’t had a recession for a very long time do you think this would make its next recession mild or quite severe ? And if the households in that country were very highly leveraged, do you think this exacerbates the severity ? And if you’ve got GC propadee developers telling us the price they pay for a block of land doesn’t matter, do you think we might be close to that recession tipping point ? And if you then add a very high taxing redistribution focused government on top of that, how do you think that helps things ? This is all very elementary, self evident and common sense stuff in my view If you think things aren’t great don’t worry, they get worse
