No Kings? More Like No Answers: Inside the Selective Outrage of a Protest At a “No Kings” protest in Dallas, Texas, I asked a couple of protesters what the slogan actually meant. They started with: “It’s just a protest.” When I pressed for more, they suddenly went silent. As the chat continued, they pivoted hard declaring Enrique Tarrio a “white supremacist.” Funny thing: Tarrio is a Cuban-American. He led the Proud Boys, a group often smeared with that label despite its diverse membership and his repeated denunciations of white supremacy. But facts are stubborn when they don’t fit the script. They insisted the courts convicting Tarrio of seditious conspiracy (related to Jan. 6 planning) made it “true.” Yet when it came to unproven smears against President Trump like pedophilia claims with zero convictions or solid court validation they shrugged: “He’s still a pedophile.” Classic. Courts are gospel when they align with the narrative… and irrelevant when they don’t. In today’s world, too many people cherry-pick “truth” to fit what they want to believe, not what actually holds up. Evil is growing and surrounding us “while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” (2 Timothy 3:13) What “No Kings” really reveals: selective blindness in an age of narrative over reality.
