@TryLikeMe@ProxxytheZombie@KingsNJenssons@_greywithin Given your username, I know you're only gonna 'try' to focus on dumb, myopic, surface level shit in the argument. But the collection of the dragon balls was the whole quest in the first series, and people died while fighting to take them. It was a martial arts Spaghetti western.
I find it weird how these two characters followed almost the exact same path, same choices, same growth but somehow Vegeta keeps dodging the criticism he absolutely deserves
@ProxxytheZombie@TryLikeMe@KingsNJenssons@_greywithin I mean it occupies a niche, and I really liked the show back in middle school. The Android Saga was the last time anyone was actually worried if all these fighters were gonna die or not.
@Games2Grackle@TryLikeMe@KingsNJenssons@_greywithin imagine if the z fighters survived nappa but krillan died permanently against frieza. That wouldve hit hard. The concept of dragon balls really weighs down any consequences they could have.
@TryLikeMe@ProxxytheZombie@KingsNJenssons@_greywithin Yeah, for a show with 'Balls' in the title, the story is surprisingly devoid of them. No real stakes, no lasting consequences. I liked it more when it was just Journey to the West.
@ProxxytheZombie@KingsNJenssons@_greywithin Most of Vegeta’s crimes aren’t weighted the same as Nolan’s because he lives where people can be brought back. His kills at the world martial arts tourney were brought back the same day. Vegeta also acknowledges his penance should bring no forgiveness, but still does it.
Have you ever stopped to think why people who love New Vegas and the OG Fallout games feel the way they do? Fallout started out as a bleak, witty and sometimes silly AtomPunk Post Apocalyptic Sci Fi Western and got turned into Disney Park Slop. Something that had a very specific and sincere ethos and design became the McDonalds of open world Post Apoc games. Characters, themes and setting were all diluted and diminished and anything truly heartfelt, melancholy or confronting was removed. That might not matter to you, but it does to me. @japajmry Naturals, even if they're tiny. Silicone gives you an increased risk for breast cancer, and they don't even look or feel all that convincing.
Question: Do you judge people for living in a trailer? 😅
My husband and I are thinking about buying some land and putting a double wide on it. But I'm not gonna lie... the stigma of living in a trailer is definitely in the back of my mind.
I don't tend to care what people think for the most part, but this is something that gets me.
@An0rexik Yeah, let me just knock over a bank and commit felonies and get free room and board and video games on the tax payer's dime. Prison is not about fun, it's about making criminals pay with the best years of their life instead of money for their crimes.
