She also has comminuted fractures of her proximal fibula which will heal fine without internal fixation. Notice also the lucent screw tracks on the tibia from an earlier external fixation.

Usually with proximal and distal interlocking screws. There is none of that here. What you’re seeing are plates along the cortex of the bone. The

@icreatelife @morrisonMSK They are. I have a microscope that goes up to I think 40x. Yes, coins with varying degrees of wear and oxidation. Mostly US coins, one British penny and an Australian dollar coin (the kangaroo one).
