The entirety of your ability to improve yourself and evolve as a human hinges on your ability to have a honest conversation with yourself. You could do this with pen and paper, but you'd have to realize it's a problem first and no one thinks it is.
Inner monologue can be anything too, not just voices. Constructs, ideas, strategies, you can be an equation, thinking as the box itself. It's not simply a 'voice'.
Acting assertively angry wont change your silly take.
