Can anyone ID this beetle. We are seeing small piles of sand/castings on a few of our greens. Not a huge hole and no worms to be found. This guy was hanging around and he’s got a little trail of sand/poop hanging off the backside. I think I know what it is, just gaining feedback

@travisolson86 Yes, I think they practice agronomy, but unless they have degrees in agronomy, they should not use the title Agronomist. My personal belief.

@GaryGrigg That makes sense, especially with all that you've been involved in. Would you say golf course superintendents are practicing agronomy?

Maybe I'm just old school, but when did we decide to start calling golf course maintenance "agronomy"? We certainly use science in our jobs, but we are not scientists. I understand promoting ourselves as professionals, but why pretend to be something we're not?
