I’m a lawyer. I’m the first to suggest caution and point out the risks. But listen guys, if you’re sitting waiting for a recession, scoffing at others and thinking you’re the smarter than them, you’re a loser. Make a plan, then let it fucking rip. We’ll be dead soon anyways.

“A crash is coming.” Andrew Ross Sorkin says a massive crash is inevitable. He’s one of the most credible financial journalists in the world.

@jamesonhaslam Pro tip: Your gardener will buy any yard equipment from you and then just go toss it. They’d rather you not have that item as it enhances job security for them.

this reminds me of the time my parents were discussing decluttering the garage and getting rid of an old lawnmower and my disabled sister suggested we should have a garage sale in with signs in Soanish because “Mexicans like mowing lawns” and would probably pay more for it
Pub@PubWanghaf

Eating breakfast at a restaurant with my Down syndrome brother Erick this morning and the Mexican waitress says as we’re leaving “Happy Memorial Day” and Erick fires back “they didn’t die for you”

@ChrisCamillo @Mr_Derivatives Reminds me of Michael Bury being right; but was just a bit early. Being just a bit early is the same as being wrong though. Tough game.

@Mr_Derivatives My only question for the “crash is coming” crowd: When? And how much of your net worth is positioned short to trade it? Words without action are meaningless.

@GaryMooreCA @SawyerMerritt The tower catch was a booster. This right here is the ship section, never catched -so far- because all of the tests still end in the ocean until everything is smooth enough. Remember it has to fly over inhabited parts of the US and Mexico before landing back in Texas.

@ChrisCamillo Chatted with this guy at Kindred and they specialize in the older Bronco and the VW Bus. Evidently, anything 1975 and prior they rebuild as ICE since they’re exempt from smog. 1975 and new donor vehicles are made into EVs. Interesting business.

Anyone know of a shop fully modernizing big body 80s/90s Broncos the same way companies have been doing with the smaller 60s Broncos for years? Feels crazy this isn’t already a massive thing.

@nitprashant We’re focused on content creation and watching the Google Analytics, but video still accounts for less than 1% of traffic. Got our cost per video down to about $2 so we can push on this for a while and see if this changes. So far, none of the video traffic has converted.

@martin_casado Because of AI and agent use, I’m writing more than I ever have before. I write to plan. I write to turn those pans into solutions. Good writing creates better outcomes

I love AI. I use it all the time. I code with it. I brainstorm with it. I use it for research. I use it to learn. But I never write with it.

We just launched the ability to build native Android apps directly in Google AI Studio for free! Since launch last week, people have created more than 250,000 Android apps. Likely >99% of these folks never built an Android app before, everyone can now build, no coding required!

@Cernovich Regular Coke is the best, but it’s wild how this topic is so triggering. My favorite Cokeologist is Warren Buffet with his daily Cherry Coke from McDonalds. Many such cases.

Had a chance to tinker with the new Google Omni on Monday. No agent api yet available, but I was able to create some rather impressive clips. I’m guessing we’re a month or two away from really good UGC with the characters using or holding the products. I saw a post yesterday where Gork was used for uGC with a pair of headphones as well. The only limitation is the short nature of the videos being produced.

AI UGC alpha right now using AI to find emotional triggers the product solves learned this from mortgage refinance industry people buy not based on logic, but on how it makes them feel you can use this same strategy for everything EG here is for graphed Defeat — this is the entry point. they already tried and it didn't work. without this emotion they're still in DIY mode and not looking for help. Helplessness — the sustained version of defeat. they know the answer is data infrastructure + engineering talent and they have neither. this is what makes them a buyer and not just someone who's frustrated. Anxiety — the always-on background feeling that money is being wasted right now, campaigns are underperforming right now, and they can't see it. this is what creates urgency even when there's no external deadline. Decision fatigue — they've evaluated tools, read the comparisons, sat through demos. they don't want another platform. they want someone to show up and do it. this is why "forward-deployed engineers" converts harder than a self-serve signup. Relief — this is the emotion at the moment of purchase. all the others push them toward the call. relief is what they feel when they hear "we handle your data pipelines, warehouse, and production hosting." it's the payoff emotion — the reason they actually say yes. then write scripts based on this

I’ve implemented a harness which effectively uses CLAUDE.md as a directory to other markdowns. Generally speaking, the agent is diligent about keeping this updated, which means all available tools are known to the agent. Only once in the past two months did the agent go a couple days without updating the harness. It works surprisingly well and this is across a rather complex set of projects, brands, personal tools, and custom agent tools.

hey @bcherny @AnthropicAI would be amazing if claude had something like an updating product-self-knowledge skill so it actually knows its own current capabilities. me and a few friends keep running into the same thing that claude often has no clue about what it can do or how its own features work. e.g. had to tell claude code to research about /goal to understand that it can do it

@AjOsborne1 Lowe’s is more like an IKEA to me. Of the two, I’d rather go to IKEA. Just got a new Ryobi pressure washer from HD on Friday. Pretty sure you could charge people to come over and use your pressure washer. It’s like therapy.

I’m coming up on five years of being on here every single day, and honestly, my biggest takeaway has very little to do with real estate. It’s how much I’ve learned about human nature. The things I was incredibly naive about before social media: 1) How deeply people misunderstand each other 2) How powerful and widespread jealousy really is 3) How much people quietly root against each other
