What's crazy to me is in fan works I've heard "well what am I suppose to do?" Hit the actor up and commission them. "What if I can't get ahold of them." Then dont do it. "What if they've passed?" Then let them rest. Your voice should be autonomous.

@brentmukai My thoughts went from "ahh, a totally new direction. Makes sense given they've de-aged the character a lot" to "oh. Ohhhhhh that's very well handled." Both familiar and a new spin at the same time, the whole team did great with it. Very satisfying as a 2 decade fan.

@brentmukai Were you given any audio of Douglas Rye's performance from the PS2/PS3 era entries at any stage? His Cao Cao was -older-; so it sounds like the direction intent was to slowly bring your register down to where his had sat, or at least that's how it hit my ears around chapter 4/5.

I've been greatly enjoying how @brentmukai's performance as Cao Cao changes over the course of Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Each chapter, his voice gets deeper and heavier, as the man gets older and the weight of his responsibilities grow. Brilliant choice.

@shiftposting The -good- news is it is definitely possible to archive someone -else's- twitch content without their account access using tools, so long as the videos are public. So people -can- save stuff. The bad news is there's no way enough good samaritans are gonna save everything. :/

I keep seeing quote tweets telling speedrunners to "download and export" their vods. This is not a solution. What about inactive runners? What about runners who have passed away? An untold number of games and their histories will be erased. Twitch, please reconsider.
