So recently, I had a dream that gave me an idea for a short story, pretty much waters freezing and evaporating points swap. I remember reading that online, so I looked and found SCP-009. I got a spoiler that this idea comes from the book I just started reading, called Cats Cradle

On the 25th, I plan to post my short story “Anon Learns How to Possess a Roomba.” It's a fun little story inspired by 4Chan green text. Despite it being based on that style, there is sure to be something you will laugh at.

Speaking of my new story, I have been fighting the urge to schizopost on 4Chan for years. “Anon Learns How to Possess a Roomba” is to take off the edge.

I keep having this dream where I am missing a class assignment that no one told me about. I haven’t been to school in about a year, yet I don’t know why I’m having these dreams now.

So may I ask what got you all into anime or manga?

@ChibiReviews I was at my grandmas and there was nothing else on. I tuned into Bleach and it was the start of Ichigo and Uquiora a finale fight and it such a dramtic stomp that I’ve been a fan ever since.

@ElChandler My WIP: It's a light read, so not so evil, more slimy. He embezzles from his company.

For writers: how evil is your villain?

@ElChandler The U.C has made humanity ignoranted. Manipulated them to cause multiple genocides, spread pollution, kept many of them working in poverty despite being able to use cold fusion, made people view others as objects, isolated thousands, among many other things. Pretty mess up.

@jzpitts Sometimes they convince the reader to buy the book, or not.

Lots of discussion about prologues lately. I’ve never written one, so I’m curious: what is the purpose of a prologue? When should you include one and when should you avoid one?

@jzpitts If done right they can be great. Other times they can be a bit pretentious. I think it depends on the amount of information given and how relevant it is. Also how likely it is to come up normally.
