To take one of the most beautiful doctrines in Christianity and use it as a defense of many gods is not recovering ancient Christianity. It is rewriting it. The Fathers and the Orthodox Churches teach participation in the life of the one true God. Mormonism teaches that human beings can become gods. Those are not the same doctrine, and they never have been.

To all who are worthy of salvation , I write or type in pain physically afflicted upon me for the truth which are words within this proclamation, declaration, Theophilus, or any other fancy word to call it , it is of my own liking to only call it one word.
