@printrbot @brendonbuilds 2/2 In your design, the add. of an extra moving axis on the XY frame will reduce build volume. A bed that moves in Z can have these components placed below the Moving XY components

@brendonbuilds I wonder if we will ever see a form factor that puts the whole corexy axis on a Z rail. We all went down a rabbit hole on super flat beds parallel to the xy. Sometimes I wonder if any of that is really needed w capable compensation software. Change my mind.

@printrbot @brendonbuilds 1/2 For me, Effective desktop CoreXY design is a compromise between overall machine size vs print area. Eg, A 20mm fan on the gantry will reduce print area by 20mm.

@nathan22211 @brendonbuilds Yes it does. All slicers support heated beds, and if they don't you can manually add it by opening your gcode file and adding 'M140 S60' somewhere near the beginning. Change S60 to temp of your choice (eg, S80 for 80c if you use celsius on your printer).

@nathan22211 @brendonbuilds No reason why you couldn't make one yourself... aliexpress make silicone heating pads in every shape under the sun with cutouts, mounting holes, adhesive etc and in any voltage, wattage you could ever desire, and they'll do this to your custom spec

@brendonbuilds If it was able to use more than pla I'd probably build one. I don't see a heated bed for petg or abs

I’ve been printing more PC blend recently and today my bed heater stopped working. I took off the cover and ooop! How often do others replace this cable? This isn’t the first time I have had to (although it may be the first for this machine)

Wifi printing on the @Prusa3D Mini is AMAZING! Did you know you can type in the IP address into your browser and you get a whole Octoprint-like interface! @josefprusa You've out done yourself with this.
