To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Jacob Collier. The musicality is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of music theory most of the tunes will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his

@ProductOfLabor @ilham_rahim24 I mean it’s been 150 years, why would a modern Marxist want to read Marx over someone like Adorno who has more history to work with and a more advanced view of marxism?

@jewdas "civilian casualties follow an Israeli strike on a school," or, in standard English, "Israeli strike on a school kills civilians" Did they all die for unrelated reasons a few hours after the explosion?

@GeorgeKluger @PolitlcsUK If I was Australian I'd be BBQing or surfing instead of worrying about a rainy island on the other side of the world. Our queen gave your elected prime minister the chuck in 1975, have some loyalty to Australia!

@EugeneVDweebs @donaldp1917 People don't generally list the specifics of their dissertation and module choices for the Masters they did 15 years ago on a linkedin or professional site, they just put what the degree programme is called, where from, year.

@EugeneVDweebs @donaldp1917 Not really, a UK MA course in History will be called "modern history," "medieval history," etc., the actual work will be in their own area of interest. He'll have written his dissertation on a topic in Black Reconstruction history and likely taken related optional modules.

@donaldp1917 Sounds like Will is lying here though. According to his LinkedIn his only masters is in "Modern History" from Queen's University Belfast (Ireland). Would need some serious truth stretching to call that a "degree in reconstruction-era black history".

@DannyDrinksWine While I admire his output in the world of the macabre, Stephen King’s taste and intuition has always been his downfall. There’s a reason why the *majority of films based on his work are terrible and why he hates Kubrick’s adaptation, which is arguably the best of any adaptation

"Stanley Kubrick just couldn’t grasp the sheer inhuman evil of the Overlook Hotel. So he looked, instead, for evil in the characters & made 'The Shining' (1980) into a domestic tragedy with only vaguely supernatural overtones." --- Stephen King

Important: Max Hastings overhearing the young Benjamin Netanyahu dreaming of a war when, "if we get it right, we'll have a chance to get all the Arabs out... We can clear the West Bank and sort out Jerusalem." Given the leaks we've seen about him trying to bribe Egypt to take what remains of the broken population of Gaza, he clearly thinks this is his moment. #NewNakba
Scott Long@scottlong1980

In the 70s, historian Max Hastings interviewed Benjamin Netanyahu extensively, after the the Netanyahu family recruited him to write an official biography of Bibi's brother Yoni. Here Hastings, in his memoirs, recalls Bibi's racism and enthusiasm for total ethnic cleansing:

@southlondonscum @PriyamvadaGopal It's bad faith not to listen to a 90 minute podcast. Even worse faith if you wouldn't ask get a coworker to translate an entire 90 minute podcast. If they ask for any compensation, tell them it's for a Twitter argument.

@Kawakeman @PopCultureSol @BinseyPoplar @StanCollymore Not only do you not seem aware of the core issue of Palestinian return, you also seem to think Palestinians don't care about their children as much as you do. Maybe your thoughts on the topic aren't very valuable and you should listen to someone else.

Anyone else notice a few journos and politicians backtracking on inflammatory/illegal comments in recent days? International criminal court waits for no man, and comments seen as acceptable today, could see a few indicted even 10 years hence. Already shrewd people are putting totally contradictory tweets from politicians side by side. That's called evidence.
