@CoventryCCRoads @coventrycc there are quite a few of what look like broken kerbstones on the edge of the roundabout where the red pin is marked. Could do serious vehicle damage and looks unsightly. Could they be cleared? May have fallen off a lorry or something

@dlpdadfan @reformexposed @LeeAndersonMP_ @reformparty_uk My local labour council said ‘The machine is a game changer…’ having now had it in the fleet for more than 3 years for what it’s worth.
English

@reformexposed @LeeAndersonMP_ @reformparty_uk Why would these machines suddenly become good value, unless the manufacturer happened to be a Reform supporter ? 🤔
English

Newsflash.
@reformparty_uk led councils are already purchasing these machines.
Two more arriving in Nottinghamshire in 3 weeks time.
And btw 4 years ago under the previous Tory administration we had the chance to buy a couple for 200k each but the Tory councillors said they were a waste of money and instead spent 500k on a cycle lane in Ashfield that runs for 50 yards.
People do not have short memories.
No one believes you.
Conservatives@Conservatives
Kemi’s Pothole Patrol would deploy hundreds of repair machines to fix potholes to your local area. Let’s Get Britain Working Again 🇬🇧
English

@reformexposed @LeeAndersonMP_ @reformparty_uk My local labour council think the machine is fantastic - so which is it? Similar size city to Nottingham. It’s either great or totally rubbish?
English

Hi Lee, that couple of years ago was when you were a Tory.
The council said this at the time:
“This machine has already been trialled in Nottinghamshire and highways officers were very clear – it was not the right tool for our road network and it did not offer good value for money.”
Oh, and you supported cycle lanes then.
Talk about memory of a goldfish.

@SeanM1997 What slots is this using? Very interested flight attendants this one
English

@silviuagoston23 @McLarenF1 Yes fingers crossed they can get it sorted ASAP. Otherwise I would agree it’s frustrating and the season is going to waste :(
English

@GeekaWhat @McLarenF1 Appreciate your post. But after spending almost a week on planes to reach China, the frustration has no words. Now, see you in Japan. If McLaren is able to start his cars. If not...see you in Miami.
English

Following investigations into the issues on each car, it was two different electrical problems on the power unit side which caused the double DNS today.
#McLarenF1 | #ChineseGP 🇨🇳

English

@silviuagoston23 @McLarenF1 While it’s gutting for fans who spend a lot of money to watch a team at a race, every F1 fan knows that the early season of a set of new regs is likely to present issues like this.
I think calling it PR BS is a bit harsh to be honest
English

@McLarenF1 I was expecting this kind of PR bullshit: "will come back stronger" "we'll keep pushing" bla bla. Thousands of fans came today in Shanghai for you and you were not there! Pathetic! #b2bchampions
English

@wingbargreen @Ace12Adam @McLarenF1 Yep. Everyone giving McLaren a hard time but McLaren are not stupid. Quite clearly the customer teams do not understand the PUs, which is why you have Merc and Ferrari running away with it.
English

@Ace12Adam @McLarenF1 It doesn’t seem like a purely McLaren-related issue though. It’s PU related and we’ve had no major issues this whole weekend. Something seems off about all of this.
I agree, it’s unacceptable, but this is just another consequence of these shitty regs. 7 retirements today…
English

@stillcounting_4 I agree that Alpine / Williams are not the best points of comparison, but I don’t think there is major need to panic. MCL has the talent to get the aero optimised (and as we saw the last couple of seasons can do it) and Mercedes early PU advantage will only last them so long
English

@GeekaWhat no disrespect to alpine or williams, but i don't think that's the teams mcl should be compared to. they come off the back of 2 wccs. they need to optimize the pu, and then we have to pray that the drag issue hasn't carried over...
English

i want him to explain how their car, with the merc pu, loses over half a second on one and a half straights. let's go andrea, explain that to me...
ray@ln4norris
andrea: “at the moment, the third row is a mclaren row. we are working hard to improve this position, obviously. it will be difficult until we deliver some upgrades, which will start happening from japan. for now, we'll have to try and make sure that we do a little bit better than the sprint, if possible”
English

@modernheroestv Asked my local postie what he thought of them ‘and he said, yeah it’s nice to drive’ and had no complaints on charging.
RM are one of the only couriers to charge them fully at the depot too.
English

As always it seems you can just straight up lie on here and people lap it up.
Royal Mail’s current electric fleet almost entirely consists of small 50kWh Stellantis vans (from all of their brands) with a WLTP range of 174 miles for the older ones and 213 miles for the newest ones. They do have some outliers but nothing with range that low.
The kind of range/performance described would be that of a 22kWh Kangoo ZE, originally developed for the French postal service funnily enough, thankfully it’s not 2012 any more.

English

@benji787 @ukairport24 How else will they grow though without any further expansion at LHR? A bump of 5 sounds pretty modest to be honest, especially given the extra range/crew bunks for some new routes East :)
English

@ukairport24 2029 for the first one. 17 would be quite the increase from the current based 12 777s.
English

@MikeB2023 @yungsharpy @jhorsewhisperer The European car industry is destroying itself with awful base specs, horrendous markup on options and dated dealer models.
English

@yungsharpy @jhorsewhisperer Good to know, just ignore the massive human rights violations of the CCP while supporting the world’s most polluting country.
At least you saved a few quid and have helped destroy the European car industry, in turn causing us all to be poorer 👍
English

Chinese cars are going to take over.
The girlfriend wanted a new car.
Range Rover Evoque
4 years PCP deal
Total cost: £30,480 @ 3.9% APR
Jaecoo 7
Total cost: £17,520 @ 0% APR
Financing the Jaecoo 7 is a no-brainer at 0%. It might not be a "Range Rover" but neither is the Evoque in my opinion it's crap. A real Range Rover is the full-sized Range Rover or the Sport.
Who is going to justify paying almost double for nearly the same car? Jaecoo 7 tech is better and most people who drive these cars don't give a crap about handling etc. An Evoque is hardly a driver's car anyway.
I think we'll see some big changes over the next few years in the car market. People are becoming less brand snobs. As long as it looks good, has a warranty, and is affordable, most are happy.
English

@yungsharpy @jhorsewhisperer Owned an i4 for 18 months. Nice car but not worth all the money I payed for it. Traded it out for a lease on a much cheaper Model Y and prefer it…
English

@jhorsewhisperer I had the exact same mindset recently. Why would I lease a BMW i4 M50 when I can get a BYD Seal Excellence for almost half the cost?
The build quality inside is apparently really good, and it's 0-62 in 3.8s.
What am I getting with the BMW apart from the badge?
English

@au_tom_otive Presumably this is just legacy infrastructure though... no one plugging in overnight on these because of the overstay charges.
Presumably reasons there's only 4 units... DNO, power restrictions, site constraints etc?
English

@Gregess76 @AutoPap Just PodPoint. No EV owner really uses them - too slow and cumbersome. No point plugging in to a 7kW charger during a 20 minute trip to Tesco...
English

@TrainLifeGB @EngFocus XC not getting those sets would essentially be criminal
English

It was fantastic to see the first refurbished @CrossCountryUK Class 220 (003) today. I must say the new livery has grown on me! The brand new seats certainly seem to provide more leg room and while the padding feels firm I can confirm the seats are comfortable. 1/2

@BBQSosa @HofmannAviation @TUIGroup @Boeing It’s a delivery flight. They’re flying the new plane from the factory to the UK
English

#DELIVERYflight - last night I had the pleasure to be on board of G-TUPE, TUI Airline 55th Boeing 737 MAX 8, from Seattle Boeing Field to Manchester. Flying time has been 9h39 min.
@TUIGroup @Boeing

English

@nathansldennis @coachcatris @lindsay_hayes @Artemisfornow I employ 9 people and I can assure you the relief runs out very, very quickly. The recent NI hike has been a huge cost increase for us.
English

@coachcatris @lindsay_hayes @Artemisfornow And do you claim the small business NI Support in the UK?
English

@clivechilcott @TeslaInTheUK @tesla_uk Given the age of the units is probably just not financially viable to reinstall them somewhere else. Cheaper I would imagine just to install new units. Not like Tesla is opening up new 150kw sites
English

@TeslaInTheUK Ok, not the best replies here. Let’s have a think about this.
Upgrade these to V3 chargers minimum. Whilst doing this, install lighting?
The V2’s could be repurposed to a site where charging might not be so time critical. A shopping mall?
