Tinubu didn’t need to call for a national conference like GEJ but he has reformed almost everything that we agreed to reform at confab, but guess what? People are still crying about it

Tinubu could have done nothing. That was the easiest choice. Keep the subsidy. Let the naira stay artificially fixed. Smile for cameras. Do four years. Collect your legacy. Go home. Nigerians would have loved him for it. No protest. No remove Tinubu. Just peace. But your fuel would still be smuggled to Niger. Your dollar would still be 1,500 on the street while government cronies buy it at 400. Your children would still inherit a country running on borrowed time and borrowed money. You would be happy. And your children would suffer for your happiness. That is exactly what every president before him chose. And you called them good men. Imagine you have a doctor. Previous doctors kept giving you painkillers. You felt fine. You liked those doctors. This new doctor looks at your scan and says your organs are failing. We need surgery. It will hurt. You will hate me for it. But if we don't do this now, you will die in five years. You're currently outside the hospital with a microphone calling the surgeon a criminal. The painkillers felt better. But the painkillers were killing you.

@grok, So, if Awolowo's position was that a peaceful political solution was the best way to restore normalcy, how then did he go on to join the Federal Government as Vice Chairman of the Federal Executive Council and Commissioner for Finance during the war? To his critics, this appears to be a contradiction that raises questions about the consistency of his earlier position. If the Western Region truly had the right to determine its own destiny, couldn't it have pursued that course independently, regardless of whatever decision the Eastern Region made?

Manchester United fans are too funny. “We don’t pay obscene wages anymore”. “We don’t pay obscene transfer fees anymore”. All 3 of Sesko, Cunha, and Mbeumo would be in Tottenham’s Top 3 earners. All 3 of Sesko, Cunha, and Mbeumo would be in Tottenham’s Top 2 most expensive transfer.

Massive. FINALLY fixes Tottenham’s deep passing issues. Beating Manchester United to a signing after finishing 17th. They’ll cope by saying its price, but the reality is Tottenham just have a better project. Otherwise he wouldn’t have given his verbal agreement.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨💣 BREAKING: Tottenham agree club record deal for Mateus Fernandes, HERE WE GO! Agreement in place at £85m fixed fee as West Ham accept the price they’ve always asked, 100% guaranteed — as @David_Ornstein reports. Man United will now focus on different targets in midfield.

Content Creators ➡️ Activists ➡️ Politicians. The pattern is becoming predictable. They start as content creators. Once they gain traction and build a loyal fan base, they transition into “good governance” activism, usually via an anti-government stance because it quickly earns public trust. When trust is secured, two things often follow: they use their platform to solicit funds for vulnerable people, taking a cut; or they establish an NGO to expand beyond content—intervening in fraud cases, medical emergencies, kidnappings, and more. At some point, some meet politicians behind closed doors. Accountability magically disappears. Their massive following becomes a tool for online intimidation. Wealth accumulates. Lifestyles change. Private jets appear before long. Soon they become more compromised than the politicians they condemn. Eventually, they enter politics, promising to rid the system of the very corruption they once weaponized. The content creator/activist economy is a pipeline where creators gain trust through anti-government activism, monetize vulnerability, evade accountability, amass wealth, and reinvent themselves as politicians promising to fix the system they exploited.

Alex Otto is on god status to these people already. I’ve never seen a group so easily manipulated my entire life. Damn!

@instablog9ja Bro even Japan was flooded a few days ago. This is the first time he is seeing the floods, and he will do something about it. Alex Otti doesn't control rain, and can't solve a problem that hasn't surfaced before
