Wait a second, you mean @GenLogs has reverse engineered the FMCSA's Inspection Selection System? First, what is the Inspection Selection System? The Inspection Selection System or ISS is the mechanism that the FMCSA uses to prioritize motor carriers for scale pull-in at weigh stations and inspections based upon their safety profile. It primarily uses safety data from the FMCSA’s Compliance Safety and Accountability program, commonly known as CSA. @ryanjoycevoice explains.

@FreightAlley Capacity searches in @GenLogs nearly doubled last week compared to the next highest week over the last 180 days. Searches were already up in late April to mid May as capacity continued to exit the market. Load boards aren't cutting it. Expect $5+ rates soon.

Alexandria, Louisiana - Friday morning, a truck driver fell asleep, ran off the road, and into a bridge, damaging the support beam. Trucking Company: WINGET TRUCKING LLC > Based in ROWLETT, TX All driver out-of-service violations in 2025 are related to Hours of Service and ELDs.

A freight broker booked a load with 'Scottway Logistics.' Refrigerated load from Idaho, going to Florida. Carrier passed vetting platform. MacroPoint tracking was used. The truck 'shows up' at the shipper, asks for a $2,000 fuel advance. The broker sends the money upon confirmation that the truck has been loaded. Shipper calls, "When will the truck be here?!" Broker: Confused. Angry. The broker asks the driver for an image of the bill of lading. The driver sends a generic picture of a BOL. The driver and dispatch go ghost mode. But hey, they made $2,000. --- With a few more minutes of vetting and a bit of human discernment, this did NOT have to happen. Using @SearchCarriers & @GenLogs, I can tell you this trucking company was not suitable for a load from Idaho to Florida. 1. SearchCarriers: Contact changes recently. No inspections. Virtually no activity for this carrier. 2. GenLogs: No carrier sightings in Idaho or Florida, ever. Looking at the images, this carrier only runs box trucks... *Original Facebook post below.

Post-Thanksgiving USDOT observations are down in both the daily and rolling 7-day charts. Capacity is leaving the market.

Original post from LinkedIn. "Recently, a broker tendered a load to what appeared to be a perfectly legitimate carrier. Clean MC. Active authority. No obvious red flags. They had even been “cleared” by another vetting platform. Hours after pickup, the freight vanished. The broker — not our client, and the carrier wasn’t either — reached out to Verified Carrier asking if we could take a look. Within minutes, the problems were obvious: - The driver was using a fabricated driver’s license - The license number belonged to a female born in 1939 - The signature on the BOL didn’t match the ID - The phone number painted on the truck was not tied to the company - After we tracked down the original owner of the truck, they claimed the truck hadn’t moved in weeks… yet ELD data showed 522 miles driven during that exact window With the help of our partner @GenLogs , we traced the same truck operating under multiple company names — and even found photographic evidence confirming it was the exact vehicle involved in the theft. All of this was caught immediately inside Verified Carrier — the type of behavioral and operational shifts our system flags in real time. This case is a reminder: checking authority isn’t vetting. Looking “clean” isn’t safety. And relying on outdated platforms is exactly how freight disappears. Verified Carrier is the real carrier-compliance platform. We don’t miss what others overlook."

Freight was stolen by a man using this CDL. It is a fake. The license number belongs to a woman born in 1939. Where I come from, we used fake IDs to get into the local bar... Not to cause chaos in the supply chain. *Original post by Verified Carrier on LinkedIn.

Debating putting out a few indices based on observed activity across the USA. Here are a few examples (WoW % changes). It's cool to see how Labor Day caused a dip across all three indices. Also interesting that SAIA is lagging recently in LTL. Should I publish more? Comment!
