Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

@thenewnose @AlexHollings52 i dont even know if the video has been confirmed real or not lmao it still looks like a really big explosion really close to the F35 so either the video is fake, isnt as bad as it looks, or they were fibbing when they said it made it safely back to base.

This is very interesting stuff... Notable that the F-35 made it home. Most surface-to-air interceptors launched by long-range systems have massive warheads (~320 lbs). I don't think Fat Amy could eat one of those in stride — so what was the interceptor?
OSINTdefender@sentdefender

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has release a statement, accompanied by video footage, which claims to show the targeting of an American F-35A/B Lightning ll with a surface-to-air missile in the skies over Iran. This claim by the IRGC follows reports that a F-35 was damaged and forced to make an “emergency landing” at an air base in the Middle East due to hostile fire over Iran.

Many people wouldn't have liked it when I called Iran a rational actor. But consider their actions so far. -Did not close Strait of Hormuz until there was an existential threat to their country -Did not attack critical energy infrastructure until theirs was targeted -They have once again threatened that they will destroy the regional energy infrastructure if theirs is attacked, prompting Trump to announce no more of Iran's will be targeted -They have demonstrated the capability to destroy the entire energy infrastructure of the Gulf and yet, they are holding themselves back. Compare this with Israel and USA's actions so far: -Decapitation strike against Iran while negotiations were progressing well (Oman confirmed this) and a ceasefire was in place. -Targeted Iran's energy infrastructure knowing fully well that there will be retaliation. -Initiated a war they have no means of winning without plunging the entire world into an apocalypse. Which side is the rational actor here?
Sensei Kraken Zero@YearOfTheKraken

Because: 1. Iran is a rational actor. 2. The threat to close the Strait of Hormuz was the enforcement of their red line. 3. Their red line was crossed [regime change war], hence, they shut down the Strait. What would others have done? They would have done exactly what US-Israel are doing now. It's also the reason nothing can be done about it now.

Genuinely, who are these analysts? The Houthis use famine as a recruiting tool (quite successfully I might add), that’s just not a concern they overly care about. To put this politely but accurately, in the absence of a request from the IRGC to jump in (and to be clear, they don’t follow the IRGC’s commands like a basset hound, they’re more inclined towards doing their own thing), their default stance is to “aura farm as hard as possible.” The reason they haven’t just jumped-in on their own is because they think it’d be cool to score a hit against a carrier, and no carriers have passed by yet.
Joumanna Nasr Bercetche@JoumannaTV

On why the Houthis - so far- have been quiet “Analysts say the Houthis may have calculated that with Yemen on the verge of a famine, rebel leaders may have calculated that dragging the impoverished country into the Iran war could alienate the group’s dwindling support among the population”

Wow almost like Iran has been preparing for a war with the US for decades
Shaiel Ben-Ephraim@academic_la

I talked to two Israeli sources on why Iranian launches continue to increase, despite US-Israeli claims that they have destroyed almost all of the launchers. Here is what they said: 1) The 90–95% drop in volume claimed by CENTCOM earlier in the month was probably a temporary lull as Iran repositioned its remaining launchers into hardened sites. Independent satellite analysis suggests that a significant portion of the "80% destruction" claimed by the IDF actually hit high-fidelity decoys. 2) Despite fewer launchers, the lethality per strike has increased. Iran's shift to cluster warheads has allowed a single missile to impact multiple locations simultaneously, compensating for the lower volume of launches 3) Iran has successfully set up mobile, underground units able to fire at steady rates. Iran used that quiet period to move their remaining ~100-120 heavy launchers into "Super-Hardened" facilities 4) Iran is utilizing its Zolfaqar and Dezful road-mobile launchers. These units move from hardened tunnels to pre-surveyed launch spots, fire, and return underground in under 10 minutes, often before coalition drones can re-task for a strike. 5) Because these launching units are decentralized, it is very hard for US and Israeli intelligence to get info on them. Israel and the United States do not have an answer to this problem. That is why they are trying escalation on energy sources instead. But that is backfiring.

Also one must also naturally wonder if CENTCOM will even admit if it was damaged by Iranian AD or claim another freak incident

And considering it was able to get back to base, it was hit somewhere close to Irans border regions. Regions that should’ve been saturated by air strikes with all AD gone, and yet the F35 still got hit. Today is going to be a juicy day.
