“If Caitlin Clark could play in the NBA, everybody would applaud it. That would be an incredible thing. But if the last guy on the bench of an NBA team went to a WNBA team and started averaging 40 points, everybody would know that is BS."

The absurdity of the @NCAAIceHockey Regionals.
Michigan is the No. 1 overall seed, and yet, their opponent, No. 16 seed Bentley University, is 350 miles LESS to travel to the Albany Regional than the University of Michigan.
Put the Regionals back on campus with full barns!

@spittinchiclets @markvanosdol I’ve said this for years. It’s utterly absurd.
The NCAA thought Michigan’s home ice advantage at Yost was too unfair so that’s why they moved to neutral site regionals

Today is the feast day of the Annunciation.
What happened today literally split history in two.
The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her she will bear the Son of God. The entire fate of the human race hinged on the absolute submission of a young, unmarried girl in Nazareth.
To understand the profound theology of the Annunciation, you have to understand the Fall.
In the Garden of Eden, a virgin (Eve) listened to a fallen angel, asserted her own prideful will, and brought death into the world. In Nazareth, a Virgin (Mary) listened to a faithful Archangel, submitted her will entirely to God, and brought Life Himself into the world.
As Saint Irenaeus wrote in the 2nd century: "The knot of Eve's disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary." She is the New Eve.
She gave her "Fiat" (Let it be done unto me according to your word). No hesitation, no thought about herself. Absolutely and holy obedient unto her Lord.
In that single moment of perfect obedience, the gates of hell were shattered, and the infinite Creator of the universe took on human flesh. The spiritual war for our souls officially turned the tide.
The Blessed Virgin Mary's fiat, her yes, opened the way to our salvation.
When she said her Fiat ("Let it be done to me"), the Holy Spirit overshadowed her. Mary officially became the living Ark of the New Covenant. The God who cannot be contained by the cosmos physically confined Himself to a mother's womb to wage war on sin and death.
The modern world screams, "My will be done." The Mother of God whispered, "Thy will be done."
And that whisper crushed the head of the serpent.

Pope Leo XIV received representatives of the International Association of Exorcists (AIE) in a private audience on Friday, March 13. They presented a report on the growing prevalence of cases related to occultism, esotericism, and Satanism, and the spiritual consequences they believe this has for many people.
During the meeting, the Association asked the Pontiff to ensure that every diocese in the world has one or more adequately trained exorcist priests. The request concerns not only the number of exorcists, but above all their preparation: seminary training, specific programs for new bishops, and clear discernment criteria for addressing particularly delicate pastoral situations.
According to Father Francesco Bamonte, Vice President of the AIE, ignoring these phenomena leaves many faithful without an adequate response to grave spiritual suffering, sometimes pushing them toward inappropriate solutions. This is why exorcists insist on the need for serious, prudent, and Gospel-based pastoral care.
During the audience, the Pope was also presented with the book Guidelines for the Ministry of Exorcism, along with an image of Saint Michael the Archangel from the sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo. Leo XIV also recalled his past acquaintance with and appreciation for Father Gabriele Amorth, founder of the International Association of Exorcists.
