@brhodes I’m amazed. The JCPOA was predicated on the transparency and honesty of the regime. No intercontinental ballistic missles. We’re all surprised they hid their capabilities. You’re right, the best outcome was to do nothing. We should’ve waited until they achieved nuclear weapons.

In the best case scenario, Trump struck a deal to reopen a Strait that was open before the pointless war he started, with the IRGC demonstrating its control over the Strait and potentially extracting fees plus sanctions relief. Thousands of innocents - including hundreds of children - dead in Lebanon and Iran for no reason. U.S. troops killed and wounded. U.S. embassies and bases in the Middle East badly damaged. U.S. standing in the world obliterated. U.S. munitions badly depleted. Hundreds of billions spent. Prices up everywhere. More global economic fallout to come. Putin strengthened and enriched. Just a catastrophic situation even in the best of circumstances. A profoundly shameful episode in American history no matter what happens next.

In OTHER videos the he doesn't have a gun out, ICE approaches him, he tries to help a woman up, ICE pepper sprays him and then a scrum. I see ICE escalating the whole time

The fact that people are once again watching the same videos & feeling *totally* vindicated in their polar-opposite conclusions about the latest ICE shooting is...not good. Confirmation bias is quite a drug.

Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties. When a supposed “peaceful” protester brings a weapon (such as a loaded handgun) and brandishes it, there are going to severe consequences and repercussions. We have pleaded with and warned the media and the politicians that their irresponsible, hate-filled and false rhetoric is going to get people unnecessarily hurt, or worse, killed when they portray our agents and officers as the aggressors. They have encouraged these reckless confrontations and attacks on our agents and officers who are performing their lawful duties and enforcing the laws that Congress has put on the books. The fake and dishonest media and the shameless politicians should be held accountable for willfully misleading the public and enticing these protesters and agitators. We have full confidence that when more facts are revealed, our agents and officers will be shown to have utilized justifiable force in eliminating the threat.

Lawyers face sanctions for “plagiarizing” a brief filed by another firm and not giving credit. That part seems like it shouldn’t really be sanctionable … if the arguments are good, why should the client get billed more? But copying a losing brief, when facing the same opposing counsel that won in the other case, seems very stupid.

#lawtwitter, obviously the entire war is questionable from an international law perspective as pre-emptive self defense is iffy. But ignoring that concern, is targeting a state broadcaster considered a lawful target?
