Update: I’ve left Coinbase. I’m starting a company.
I’ll continue to be involved with x402 as a member of the Technical Steering Committee with the foundation, and as an advisor to Coinbase on agentic commerce.
I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done in @CoinbaseDev. It's truly an elite team executing at the highest of levels. Many exciting things coming soon 👀. @yugacohler will be taking the helm as Head of Engineering, he’s a rockstar, he’ll crush it.
It's been an exceptional second tour of duty at Coinbase. It was a hard decision to leave, but there's an idea in my head I need to get into the world.
Big thank you to @barmstrong, @emiliemc and @nemild for bringing me back, and to @alecglovett, @yuga @brian__foster and everyone else in CDP - it's been an honour.

gm frens,
After almost 9 years of building Cryptocurrency Jobs, I've decided it's time to move on.
The platform is now under new ownership.
I didn't expect to be writing this, but it feels like the right time.
What started as an independent, bootstrapped side project grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. I've helped over 2,000 companies worldwide hire talent, and thousands find their place in crypto.
The impact of Cryptocurrency Jobs has often happened quietly, behind the scenes. Over the years, it has touched almost every corner of this space through the people and teams who found their way here — many of them went on to build the products and services we use every day. All of it built and run by one person from day one, and shaped by the community around it.
To everyone who's been part of this, the crypto curious, partners, and frens, thank you for being on the journey.
And to all the teams who trusted Cryptocurrency Jobs with their hiring needs, thank you for your support and confidence.
I'm incredibly grateful, and proud of what we've built together.
As for me, I'm not going anywhere. Still in crypto, still around.
Much love.

Today I’m transitioning out of my role as co-CEO at 0x. I remain a major shareholder, I’ll continue to sit on the board, and I will continue to lend my full support to @abandeali1 and the team.
I’m proud of what we’ve built and our role in realizing the vision of tokenization and globally accessible markets. We started out building the first DEX protocol on Ethereum in 2016, weathered many cycles, and today our products drive billions of dollars in trading volume each month, powering onchain swaps for companies like Coinbase, Robinhood, Phantom, and Kraken.
I strongly believe the space will continue to grow as all forms of value are tokenized onchain, and that 0x and Matcha will play a central role in this global mega-trend. Our products, partners, tech, institutional knowledge, track record, and balance sheet all put us in a strong position to lead this market.
Our industry has entered a new phase; it’s hyper competitive, it’s crowded, and to survive here we must be able to make decisions quickly and move fast. Aspects of our org structure and operating model have slowed us in recent years, with the co-CEO structure being a major contributor.
Amir and I have rebuilt and reimagined 0x multiple times over the past decade. Now Amir has my full support as he rebuilds the organization to thrive in a world where AI is rapidly enhancing individual capability and human coordination.

Founders Fund’s Peter Thiel in 1996:
“You do not have real diversity when you have a group of people who look different, but think alike.”
“We have people trumpeting diversity who are all ideologically out of the same mold.”

Founders Fund Partner @zebulgar on why Miami is the "model city of the future": "I under-appreciated how much just being physically near this intellectual bubble of San Francisco led me to succumbing to it." "Progressive SF liberals are actually some of the most racist people I've ever met." "They claim to be very open to new ideas and to new cultures. But ultimately, if you look at it, it is an extremely homogenous and mono-culture that is extremely intolerant of any radical ideas." "They claim to have diversity, yet they lack even the basics of diversity—of skin color and diversity of thought."

LinkedIn is dead for recruiting.
Here? Cold dm's turn into hires. Reply guy turns into a referral, which overtime leads to more referrals. I post a role here and get more traction in hours than I do on LinkedIn in weeks.
X is the talent pipeline now. @elonmusk @nikitabier you're leaving money on the table. The reach is already there. You can so eat LinkedIn's lunch.
The Jobs/Hiring feature just needs to not suck and you can optimize SuperGrok for hiring stakeholders... hope it's in your list to work on @benjitaylor

Best way to apply for a job
No one cares about your slopped up email or resume.
Actually try out what they are building. What would you improve? How would you do it? Why does it matter.
Make a demo video or build something small that uses something relevant to the job. Write about it. Share it online. Tag them on twitter.
This is big, trust me on.
Put in your GitHub or Linkedin. No need for a CV. Linkedin is good enough.
In the age of AI this is the only way to stand out.

Coinbase is testing AI agents that show up in slack/email at work, just like any human teammate. To start we're shipping two which are modeled after legendary former Coinbase employees, @FEhrsam and @balajis. (Who brutally frame mogged who in this matchup?)
Soon, it will be easy for any employee to spin up a new agent for themselves or their team. I suspect we will have more agents than human employees at some point soon.
