On Tuesday I had the privilege of sharing my story to @DC_Police. It was an incredible day listening to those with lived experience of VAWG. Meeting so many officers willing to learn and listen to our stories was amazing and I know they all took something valuable away with them

Police force vow to "relentlessly pursue" perpetrators of stalking and abuse crimes after meeting with victims. @GeorgiaDA2018, who saw her mum Cheryl being murdered by her stepfather, spoke of her mission to help the force learn how to support victims. bbc.com/news/articles/… This follows a review into how the Devon and Cornwall force handles stalking cases, commissioned after the murder of Claire Chick in Plymouth in January.

The mother of a 21-year-old who was raped and murdered by a stranger is warning others to report the 'red flag' signs of offending, before they turn into something more serious. Today Lisa Squire spoke at a Devon and Cornwall police conference in Exeter- to share her experiences of the criminal justice system. Today marks 7 years since my mum was murdered. She raised me to be a strong formidable woman and I am forever grateful for all that she taught me. I will never stop sharing our story and fighting on behalf of the voiceless. Thank you to everyone to who has supported me this far!

Today I am finally 21! This year has been the hardest of my grief journey, however I still sit here today and say that life after the horrors of domestic abuse can be beautiful and fulfilling. It may feel like there is nothing but you can and will rebuild!

Risk escalation tracking is so important. Gavin Plumb is a case in point, so will Kyle Clifford be, as was Wayne Couzens. We shouldn’t be retrospectively tracking escalation, we should proactively apply these techniques. Prevention is better than murder. bbc.co.uk/news/live/crgk…

June 21st - Freedom Day! 5 years since the monster who murdered my mum was found guilty and sentenced to 31 years minimum! I was shocked. It has ensured I don’t have to worry about him outliving it and walking the streets ever again. Mr justice Wall is a hero to our family.

When you work on something for so long only to have someone not involved given credit is destroying. We relive so much trauma for this work because we know how important it is. @BraggRhianon @rachel and everyone else, you are amazing!

Wow. Some could have interpreted it as though Welsh Women’s aid had been part of this great piece of work. The reality is that it has been carried out in the main by you, @BraggRhianon & @ShonaPriddey. Apols if I’ve missed anyone off.
