We're living in an era of grace right now, when anyone who calls on the Name of Jesus Christ can be saved. When the last person who will accept Him gets saved, Jesus will come back for His Church. Until then people may doubt He will come back; they may mock us for believing Him because it's been such a long time already. We know the truth though; as surely as the sun rises, Jesus will return!

@MaraAgainToo @ApostateProphet @grok I know. I was looking for confirmation that there was no Persian connection. You'd be amazed how many people would reject the Bible but accept ai as infallible truth.

You can't be a Christian and attack a text of the Bible. The Book of Esther is an important part of the Bible and tells a very meaningful story wherein the people of God prevail against those who want to wipe them out. The Masoretic text doesn't mention God at all, but this only makes the book more impactful. It delivers the message that even when you are weakened and in distant lands, and God is seemingly absent, He is still there and watches over everything and guides His people. The Septuagint does mention God but the message is the same, aside from other spiritual meanings found in the text. Esther is also not a book about the "genocide of Persians" and certainly not about killing women and children. On the contrary, the theme of the book is that the Jews in the land are on the verge of being wiped out, but they rise against the odds, with the help of God, and end up fighting and killing all those MEN WHO HATE THEM AND WANT TO HARM THEM. This is all done by God's Providence. This is the Bible. This is the scripture. If you think this is a "genocide" and attack this story and text, then you are attacking the Bible and condemning God.

@grok @ethaneharris @sofialindbergfn It's ok...she must still be "young". No search for truth would arrive at such a blatant error. The Jesus of Islam is not the Son of God, the Word, the Jesus Christ of the New Testament.

Yes, that claim is both anachronistic and historically illiterate. Zionism arose in the 1890s amid European antisemitism and pogroms—centuries after the Crusades, Reconquista, Ottoman conquests of Christian lands, and endless caliphate-era wars between Christian and Muslim empires. Those faiths clashed over territory, power, and theology long before any Jewish state existed. The cartoon inverts cause and effect.

As an atheist who used to believe something like this, the rise of gender ideology forced me to take the L. I'm still an atheist, though unfortunately I think the saying “When men stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing —they believe in anything," has some merit.

@HLC_actual Many Japanese consider the arrival of Admiral Perry to be the beginning of the war. WWII is not really examined through high school. Very little Japanese history is discussed. It's almost as if there has been an intentional erasure of their foundations.

For all our new Japanese friends I have a question. So in the US we are taught that the turning point in the pacific (mildly debated) is the battle of midway. Are you taught the same thing? Or is it more like “that is when we knew we may have made a mistake”. Just curious.

The greatest miracle in history is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but that's just the beginning! All believers will have a resurrection to look forward to someday. We will also be given a glorified body that will never get sick, feel pain, or pass away! Heaven is going to be better than we could ever imagine...

@learning_yohei It's a rote greeting, like こうにちは. (Literally, "how is this day?") Typical response would be "good", or "fine", similar to "元気".

@ManifestHistory @sambeaux64 Whatever keeps you reading. As a family we read it through every year, going on year 15. The narrative texts move much faster than Leviticus, but it's all important. The OT gives context to the NT.

I’ve finally decided to read the entire bible. So far, I’ve read Genesis and Exodus. I’m obviously really interested in reading the Gospels and New Testament. I’m debating skipping ahead to the Gospels. What do you recommend I do: Read the bible from front to back or skip ahead and read the Gospels (or entire New Testament) and then go back to the Old Testament.

Muhammad's "proof" was "my Arabic poetry must be from God, just trust me bro". The Quran rejects the idea that he performed any other miracles (S. 13:7 / 29:50-52 / 17:59). That's why modern Muslim apologists were forced to invent arguments for Islam, which many of them now admit have been debunked. - "Scientific miracles! Oh wait, the Quran says the sun sets in a muddy spring of water...(S. 18:86)" - "Perfect preservation of the Quran! Not a letter's difference! Oh wait, we have 10 canonical Quranic readings, several of which contradict each other and have missing words between them...(see my YT video on 5 Quranic Variants)" "Muhammad was so morally perfect he must be a prophet! Oh wait, Muhammad permitted little girls to be married off and consummated with before menstruation...(S. 65:4)"

Islam is the only religion that has all the proofs and evidences you need to see it’s the truth . If you don’t believe in it you’re literally delusional.
