@spartyon1986 @jinbahji77 @OnyxOdds To say he sucks is wrong, but you’re also making my point for me: Kansas still has more titles, and you didn’t list all the schools that have done better Michigan, UCLA, and IU the past 25 years aren’t exactly the standard to compare to And Michigan owns him now, so it’s tricky

I don’t think anyone disagrees Izzo’s legacy gets stronger with title number two. And frustration is understandable for being so close and not being able to do it. The point is that the tournament isn’t exactly the easiest thing to win.

@DetroitMark @SlimSparty @ACumbow I like Divine and hope he stays, but he’s already transferred so you could see him doing it. But it’s gonna be hard for minutes

@SlimSparty @ACumbow I think Divine is prime to transfer out. Maybe Teng, but it would be shame if he left and starts shooting like Forbes etc.

Roster season is here. Worst time of the year. Eligible players to return: Fears Carr Glenn Teng McCulloch Divine Scott Ward Incoming players: Medlock Jervis Taylor Avent Thoughts: 1. Have to find a way to retain Fears and Carr which I think happens but that’s a must. 2. Probably will be a transfer or two out. I hate speculating on transfers but I’d be pretty surprised to see all the guards back. 3. HAVE to land a center. I love Taylor coming in but it’s gonna take some time. Can’t put too much pressure on him in year one. 4. I think fans myself included are going to absolutely love Medlock and Jervis from day one. These two kids are truly offensively gifted hoopers that will be fun to watch. Add it all up and there’s no reason MSU shouldn’t be in the hunt next year. I hate “all or nothing” in College Basketball but next year is truly an all in type of year. Izz will be 72 and the Final Four is in Detroit. Thoughts?

@ACumbow I disagree on seeing multiple players transferring out.. Izzo wants strength in numbers and there is plenty of minutes to go around.. The roster has a lot players who can play multiple positions.. Also I expect big things from Jesse McCulloch next season.. Baller!

@BPage15 Izzo wasn't even that good or pandemic either though. He only made 2 final 4s the 9 years prior to 2020. This also includes losing to a 15 seed in the 1st round.

1 natty in the past 3 decades 1 title game in the past 2 decades 1 Final four in the past decade. Despite how much the large msu twitter accounts gaslight you, you ARE allowed to doubt if Izzo can win another one. pre-pandemic and post-pandemic Izzo are two different guys.

@GeraldVork @trblewithdaslap Don’t feel that any of Teng/Scott/Jervis are fully reliable in the tournament. If we’re really going all in we have to go get a big time scorer

I’m not sure you could describe that loss as anything but disaster. Three straight regular season Big Ten title’s, and virtually nothing to show for it in the NCAA’s.

@stoolpresidente I’m so tired of hearing how great izzo is. 1 title in 26 years deems you lucky. Hurley has 2 already. Florida has 3. Duke and Kansas have how many in that time??

@bagels90 @Patrickwebb @TopTierState Oh, I’m fine with being wrong and I’m also fine with the teams you listed, but the reason we’re even having this discussion is because people have different definitions of blue bloods, Bagels 90

@GeraldVork @TopTierState That’s why I added that if they can keep it up for 2 more decades then there would be an argument for inclusion. Only thing keeping them out is the history factor, not resume.

@Patrickwebb @TopTierState UConn has more Championships than than Duke , Kansas and Indiana. Tied with UNC. The time factor is fine, they’re relatively new at dominance

It’s; 1. Kentucky 2. Duke 3. Kansas 4. North Carolina Borderline, but fine if you consider due to history 5. UCLA 6. Indiana But that’s it. Quit trying to make it a thing that anyone can just become a blue blood. UConn probably needs another 15-20 years of dominance and 1-2 more natty’s to even be considered as a blue blood. And nobody else even sniffs being categorized as a blue blood.
