▶️Four years since the start of Russia's full scale invasion, Ukraine stands strong - even as Russia uses toxic chemicals on the frontlines. ▶️At the #OPCW and beyond, 🇬🇧 will stand with 🇺🇦 for as long as it takes to achieve a just and lasting peace. #EC111 #StandWithUkraine

The UK continues to expose and combat malicious Russian activity. We're sanctioning 11 actors behind Russian-state sponsored hostile attacks, including those working for the GRU – the organisation that targeted the Skripals.

▶️ The independent Sturgess Inquiry has now concluded. ▶️ The report confirms what the UK Government has long assessed: Russia’s reckless use of a #ChemicalWeapon on UK soil led to the tragic death of a British citizen. ▶️ Russia is not a responsible State Party #OPCW #CWC.

Katharina Ahrendts 🇩🇪DG, sent a clear message at the Conference of States Parties #CSP30 to the Chemical Weapons Convention in The Hague: Russia’s aggression and use of chemical weapons in 🇺🇦 must cease; Russia must be held accountable for its violation of the Convention.

Germany 🇩🇪 congratulates Ambassador Sabrina Dallafior Matter of Switzerland 🇨🇭to her appointment as incoming Director-General of the @OPCW for the 2026-2030 term. We look forward to working with you towards ensuring worldwide compliance with the #CWC Chemical Weapons Convention.
