@GOVUK @UKLabour, UK train commuting has become a total perversion. I’m sitting on a half empty peak train. It should be packed, bringing people into the capital for a timely start. But private rail companies keep hiking ticket prices, and few people can afford peak time trains.

If the rumours are right and the UK, almost unilaterally given current global trends, cuts R&D funding at this critical moment, we're going to drift even further behind in economic growth, soft power, education, science, research, engineering, you name it .....

Seriously, the UK is not a 1st world country. Commuting by train is almost made impossible by a useless privatised rail network. @GOVUK you need to take control now! Terminate all franchises including @GWRHelp immediately and re-nationalise them!
