@BristolAirport Hello, appreciate the apology. Easy Jet ground Crew came eventually to sort out the mess. Still not ok to lock people in an overheated corridor with no air con. And your security telling us they are not responsible and running away did also not leave a good impression earlier…

@easyJet Hello, eventually your ground staff came and started sorting out the mess. It was still not ok to lock people into an overheated corridor with no air condition for half an hour. What was the reason why flight EZY239 got canceled last minute?

This week the Guardian's owner, the Scott Trust, gifted the 233-year-old Observer to Tortoise Media. This isn't just a dark day for journalism, it's a sign. Meet the team. This is Putin giving Tortoise's energy advisory board member an 'Order of Friendship' medal in 2017. 1/

I’m a consultant in private practice in London and I treat patients covered by private medical insurance every day. If you think it’s better in the UK, think again. I’ll share some stories I and my colleagues see every day. After reading these please DM me or share your own 🧵

Anybody else @UniofBathStaff remember getting your timetables like this? And having to book a laptop to give a lecture? Feels like ancient history, but only 15 years ago! I'm having a clearout and wondering why I've kept all these old timetables for so long 🤣

@GOVUK @UKLabour, UK train commuting has become a total perversion. I’m sitting on a half empty peak train. It should be packed, bringing people into the capital for a timely start. But private rail companies keep hiking ticket prices, and few people can afford peak time trains.

If the rumours are right and the UK, almost unilaterally given current global trends, cuts R&D funding at this critical moment, we're going to drift even further behind in economic growth, soft power, education, science, research, engineering, you name it .....

We put innovation at the core of Europe’s growth. This week, we're taking stock of the progress in our R&I ecosystem, highlighting where further work is needed: -Prioritising investments and reforms -Improving access to excellence -Translating results into economic impact

Seriously, the UK is not a 1st world country. Commuting by train is almost made impossible by a useless privatised rail network. @GOVUK you need to take control now! Terminate all franchises including @GWRHelp immediately and re-nationalise them!

"Portugal introduces €20 monthly rail pass for all train services" It costs me more than that for a day trip into London from a suburb Not only does our train network need to be nationalised, but pricing needs to drop significantly to make train travel affordable, and for those outside of the M25 region, how about more frequent trains, and seats for people to sit on

Brexit is killing us. Pesticide residues in 100 foods ranging from potatoes to onions, grapes to avocados, coffee to rice have soared since Brexit. Residues in tea increased by 4,000 times Unlike the EU, UK slashed protections, creating health hazards theguardian.com/environment/20…
