A camouflaged German sniper of the Wehrmacht blends into the forests of World War II Europe, his improvised mask and netting designed to break up his silhouette and hide him from enemy patrols. On the Eastern Front and beyond, snipers became feared hunters in a brutal war where patience, concealment, and a single shot could decide life or death. 1941-42.

Over 1 billion people are now living with a mental health disorder. In the United States, approximately 40% of high school students reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, while one in five adults currently lives with a mental health condition. The alarming increase since 1990 is primarily driven by a dramatic surge in anxiety and depression, which rose by 158% and 131% respectively. While population growth and improved diagnostics contribute to these figures, researchers warn that the world is entering a concerning new phase of psychological burden that has become a leading cause of disability worldwide, often surpassing chronic physical illnesses in its societal impact. The demographic shift is particularly stark among youth; for the first time in recorded history, the peak burden of mental illness has shifted to teenagers aged 15 to 19. Experts attribute this rise to a "perfect storm" of factors, including the lingering social disruptions of the pandemic, economic instability, and environmental stressors. As healthcare systems reach their breaking points, the findings underscore an urgent need for global leadership to prioritize mental health as a primary pillar of public health to protect the well-being of future generations. source: K Rodgers. “Nearly 1.2 billion people worldwide are living with mental disorders. The number has been growing” (May 2026) CNN. GBD 2023 Mental Disorders Collaborators. (2024). On May 20, 2026, at Fairfield High School, Officer Bianca Brown allegedly used excessive force against student Maurice Williams. According to his father, the officer: •Ran up and grabbed Maurice by the hair •Slammed him to the ground •Punched him in the face multiple times while he tried to cover himself •Then dragged him by the hair after he was already handcuffed The family is demanding answers and justice, especially after learning about a press release they were never informed about.

Here is the FULL body cam footage of the arrest and the events that led up to it. And here is a breakdown of what ACTUALLY happened. - On May 20th at approximately 12:34 p.m., a Fairfield Police Officer serving as a School Resource Officer responded to a large physical fight involving multiple students at Fairfield High School. During the altercation, one student physically fought with a school official who was attempting to break up the fight, prompting the officer to immediately request emergency assistance. - While trying to stop the fight, the officer observed a student attempting to retrieve an item from a backpack. Believing the student could be reaching for a weapon, the officer confiscated two backpacks and turned them over to school staff. - The officer escorted one involved student to the school office, while a large crowd of students followed behind and continued attempting to fight the detained student. - The officer then attempted to detain a second student who was actively trying to continue the fight. The student refused commands, ran into a crowd where additional fights were occurring, and then struck the officer in an attempt to avoid being detained. - As the officer escorted the second student toward the school office, the student repeatedly pulled away and continued resisting. Additional officers arrived to assist with the escalating situation. - The second student suddenly broke free and turned aggressively toward the officer after already assaulting him. Another responding officer immediately performed a takedown maneuver to stop the student before the situation escalated further and to protect the officer from additional harm. - Even after being taken to the ground, the second student continued resisting arrest by tensing his arms, covering his face, and refusing to place his hands behind his back while officers attempted to handcuff him. - Officers used distraction strikes to gain compliance after repeated failed attempts to secure the student’s hands. The student eventually complied and was placed under arrest. - Officers later located sharp objects, including a screwdriver, inside the confiscated backpacks. Both students were arrested for causing a disturbance on a school campus and resisting arrest. According to police, no officers or students were injured during the incident. Do I REALLY need to point out that the officer himself is black?

@Collider I’m glad I’m not alone thinking this was his worst film. It takes place entirely in a shack. They say it was inspired by The Thing but even that flick had more sets than this. A movie about outlaws and lawman and the youngest person in the cast is Channing Tatum & Walton Goggins.

While it all added up to one of #QuentinTarantino’s worst movies, The Hateful Eight still proves to be a worthwhile watch because of its well-played characters. Most of the cast spends the movie sitting around waiting for the action to start, but there are two exceptions who give the director some of his most vivid characters: Samuel L. Jackson playing Marquis Warren, a Black Union major turned bounty hunter, and #WaltonGoggins playing Chris Mannix, a cruel and racist white sheriff. Goggins, in particular, gives one of his greatest performances as Mannix, using his stringy physicality and musical diction to bring Tarantino’s bleakest dialogue to life. It’s a performance so good that it almost makes the movie work all by itself.

Jake Lang - January 6 Political Prisoner 🇺🇸
UPDATE— Jake is still unable to make any phone calls but he was able to get an update to me today. 1. They are keeping him locked in solitary the entire time he is there. 2. he will not be allowed to make any calls while there and they have him completely silenced. 3. they are keeping the light on in his cell 24/7 and it’s impossible to get any sleep. 4. they are telling him he has no right to speak to an attorney or go to the law library, even with an upcoming hearing. I have already been documenting every call I’ve had with these psychopaths in the jail, and they know I have the recording of them ripping him out of his cell just for begging for food — so when I called to get all of this new info on record and an explanation for the treatment the lieutenant decided to now SILENCE ME and told the entire jail to no longer take my calls. His mother called right after I did to try to get answers on his treatment and I have posted the recording in this post. These people are ANIMALS. And the way the are treating people is CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT! All for nodding his head in a courtroom and saying the truth that it OBVIOUSLY is “two tiered justice” They treat murderers better than someone with a ten day contempt charge!!! That crazed judge and everyone working in that jail need to be INVESTIGATED, FIRED, AND THROWN IN PRISON!!!!! Judge Reid Poland is a MENACE who takes sick pleasure in throwing people in prison and keeping him there as long as he is able. The Montgomery county jail is a hellhole and everyone in there is complicit in the torture and inhumane treatment going on inside! Montgomery County Jail - (931) 648-0611 Free Chud. Free Jake.

@LASHYBILLS @writersclout Everything she did in this video was unnecessary. She can’t physically force him to comply by punching him. If she’s punching him & he’s not punching back then he’s already complying. If she’s grabbing his hair & he’s already in handcuffs then he’s already complying.

@LeeMerrittesq @writersclout If he didn’t want to comply, there’s no way he’d be on the ground trying to shield his face from her punches. He could’ve cracked her entire jaw in matters of a millisecond if he really wanted to. If he was already handcuffed then you have zero reason to grab him by his hair.

On May 20, 2026, at about 12:34 p.m., Fairfield Police Officers responded to Fairfield High School in Fairfield, California, for a fight involving multiple students on campus. What happened next, captured on cell phone video and the department’s own body‑worn cameras, shows officers taking a student to the ground, punching him in the head with what they call “distraction strikes,” and dragging him by his hair on school grounds. Police say the students were arrested for causing a disturbance on a school campus and resisting arrest, and that no injuries were reported. Whatever language is used in the report, the footage speaks for itself. This level of force against a student is not acceptable and cannot become the new norm in our schools. This is the kind of force communities expect to be reserved for an armed threat, not a teenager involved in a school fight. A label does not change what the video shows, and the video does not lie. The officers involved must be held accountable.
