@CollinRugg Hey @CollinRugg is there anything Carlson could do or say that would make you suspicious of his fitness to represent the conservative movement?

Mark Levin reads private text messages with Tucker Carlson revealing that TPUSA wanted the two men to debate. Carlson said he was open to debate but Levin refused because he didn’t want to “platform” Carlson. Levin then bragged about his “rational” response where he called Carlson “the modern-day David Duke.” What a bizarre response. Audio: @infolibnews

youtu.be/efBB0D4tf1Y?si… I fully agree with the idea that bad ideas and their purveyors shouldn’t be silenced — they should be openly and vigorously debated. But I would love for @KevinRobertsTX to point out where, in this 2hr interview, Tucker truly debates Nick Fuentes’ ideas. At most he offers examples of good Jews, Paul and @ggreenwald — one who abandons Judaism and becomes, religiously, a Christian, and the second a vicious anti-Zionist propagandist who I’d venture has no connection to Judaism whatsoever. He does mumble something about anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews at one point. This is no way counters or rebuts Nick Fuentes central assertion that “Zionist Jews” an “organized Jewry” subvert the American national interest in favor of Israel’s as a matter of our Judaism — that disloyalty to America or placing an alleged loyalty to Israel over the United States is the beating heart of Judaism. To the contrary, Tucker has spent almost two years now implicitly calling Judaism a morally inferior faith. He’s a coward, so he’ll never say it outright, but he routinely insists that the values that Christianity upholds — and he’s correct to identify them — are unique to that religion alone, and not so subtly suggests that Judaism does not share those values. Tucker did in his show after Charlie Kirk’s assassination (youtube.com/watch?v=V5iCxI…) where he correctly lays out Christianity's foundational values, and says "this is the story of the New Testament, not the Old Testament." He did this again at the @TPUSA event in Indiana, where again he correctly lays out that Western notions of justice are founded in Christian values, correctly identifies those values, and then again suggests they are exclusively Christian and that Judaism lacks them (youtube.com/watch?v=Ph8fjb…) -- that Christianity "alone" does not believe in collective punishment, insisting then that "every other country outside of Western Europe and the Anglosphere does. All through Asia. All through the Middle East....only Christianity doesn't believe that. Doesn't believe in blood guilt...The Christian understanding of justice, which is far superior to any other religion's understanding, perception of justice...collective punishment is immoral. It's totally immoral. It's why what is happening in Gaza is disgusting....because a whole group is identified as guilty, and Christians do not believe that is possible (youtube.com/watch?v=Ph8fjb…)." Elsewhere he excludes Israel, explicity, from the ambit of Western civilization based on the Gaza War, which he -- in the above quotes -- suggests is an outgrowth of Judaism as a culture and religion, just as American justice is an outgrowth of Christian culture and religion. Tucker's play is increasingly obvious, if also subtle: he seeks to drive a hierarchical wedge between Christianity and Judaism -- hence the opprobrium he reserved for the "heresy" of Christian Zionism in his Nick Fuentes interview. It's not just on theological ground that he considers Christianity correct, but it is also on moral grounds. To be a good American or a good conservative, therefore, one cannot have Jewish values, because those are alien, different, and inferior. What is this if not rank antisemitism? Now, Tucker routinely plays the ignorance card -- "I'm not a theologian, but..." -- just like he uses the "I'm just asking questions" defense to ease abhorrent views into normalcy and respectability. But Tucker also holds himself out as an unvarnished truth teller, an "honest broker" -- per the introduction to his show. If that is the case, then he must -- yes, must, not by force of social coercion or law, but by force of the own standards he purports to uphold -- either 1) thoroughly inform himself on the topic he's attacking, be it Christian Zionism ("I'm not a theologian" and definitively decrying that as a "heresy" are mutually contradictory positions, 2) Judaism and Jewish culture and values, and 3) the State of Israel, it's society, laws, and the other side of the coin on the Gaza War. But he's not an honest broker, nor is he neutral. The neutrality gives him plausible deniability for transforming his show into a megaphone for one side of the discourse on the Jewish Question writ large and on Zionism/Israel. It allows him to disingenuously claim "I didn't say that" and play the victim when his act is detected and called out -- when his bad speech is countered with criticism, other speech, which is the basis of the free marketplace of ideas that Kevin Roberts purports to uphold, but is instead using as a cudgel to shield Tucker from deserved criticism. And for Roberts, @megynkelly, @MattWalshBlog, and the other conservative talking heads who lack even 1% of Buckley's principles, conviction, courage, or erudition and who cover for Tucker by insisting they have no enemies to their right, they don't want to fire inside the conservative tent -- why not hold Tucker himself to that standard? In the Nick Fuentes interview and consistently throughout his show, Tucker -- rather than engage the ideas of his opponents in good faith -- labels them with pejoratives ("neocon" is his favorite) meant to a priori discredit their counterpoints or counterarguments. In his interview with Fuentes, he allowed @benshapiro and @KassyAkiva to be painted as nefarious agents of Israel, and routinely attacks Shapiro. While, to his credit, Tucker engaged @tedcruz - he did so as an enemy, pulling out every cheap trick possible in what was an entirely bad-faith interview. If he brought that fire to all sides of this question, no one would accuse him of bad faith or suggest he's seeking to politically normalize antisemitism. Roberts does the same thing, btw -- suggesting anyone criticizing Tucker (speech vs. speech, no?) is a bad-faith globalist and part of a "venomous coalition." So, Kevin, where is Tucker giving Fuentes a platform to debate his ideas, discredit them, in a proper sense? Where are you on that? Where is the free marketplace of ideas and debate where you a priori judge anyone who sees Tucker's clear direction and wants to use speech to push back, only to have you smear their intentions, suggesting only someone with foreign loyalties or nefarious intentions can have a problem with his direction? If that is your position, then you are as slippery and disingenuous as Tucker.

There has been speculation that @Heritage is distancing itself from @TuckerCarlson over the past 24 hours. I want to put that to rest right now—here are my thoughts:

Pure garbled idiocy! The president of Heritage does not know what cancel culture is. If he disavows Tucker, that’s criticism, not cancel culture. For TPUSA not to headline America’s leading anti-Semite is not cancel culture. Tucker has a huge platform—no one is canceling him.

I appreciate you highlighting Tucker’s incompatibility with the Conservative movement and I’m not a Tucker fan in the slightest, but also not a fan of the Goebbels comparison. If you’re going to use such powerful label, I invite you to share receipts demonstrating how Tucker has directly contributed to a genocidal machine responsible for the extermination of millions of people. Otherwise, this is exactly the type of rhetoric that makes political assanations thinkable. Again, I believe it’s possible Tucker is Jew hater and a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but I also believe we need to be very careful with our language.

The list of conservatives criticizing Carlson's Hitlerian diatribe is woefully brief and lacking notable names. So Giggling Goebbels has successfully established that maligning Jews is now entirely compatible with being a high profile Republican. algemeiner.com/2025/09/22/con…

@signulll Honest question: why would Iran spend billions, bury Fordow under 90m of rock, and run its highest-level enrichment there — just to blow it up for show? If it’s all theater, it’s a really expensive stage.

TEXAS PASSES 6-STORY SINGLE-STAIR BILL! 🤠 - Legalizes 6-stories, 4-units/floor, in TX state building code - Cities that adopt standard amendments to state building code would by-default legalize 6-story single-stair apartments - Paves way for streamlined adoption by cities

4o basically rolled out like a behavioral operating system update for the human race. sama pushed a button & suddenly millions of people’s internal models of the world, of communication, of maybe even truth shifted *overnight*. i suspect this 4o rollout will have huge downstream effects & raise a fuck ton of new questions. updating an existing widely used model has profound consequences for society, culture, etc. what a crazy responsibility.
