This is BlackRock's latest marketing for #Bitcoin. A full education piece and summary in 3.5 minutes and this is just the beginning of their educational ark on this asset - and we're already at $50bn in IBIT. You still think "they don't get it"? You still think they're getting their clients into this just to face an 80% down draft for 3 years? You think that's what BlackRock wants? You still think they're not behind the Red Wave? Open. Your. Eyes. Time to stop listening to the Doom & Gloom Boomers, Happy Hippies and the Thousand Dollar Networthers.

@Laorothy @steveinpursuit No effect on Miners tbh, nodes would have bloated slightly but your average person does not need to run a full node. Satoshi agreed to a blocksize limit as a temporary measure. Bitcoin never had a limit for the first year

@GhostofBTC @steveinpursuit No. Bigger blocks would’ve centralized Bitcoin by requiring more expensive miners, reducing hash rate and making it more susceptible to attack.

Considering the CIA asked Gavin Andresen (the heir of Satoshi) to explain it to them in 2011, it's a safe bet to say the State showed up. Also considering CIA spent decades refining their technique for infiltrating and sabotaging social movements--and were so successful they've toppled multiple governments overseas--it's also a safe bet to say they've already infiltrated. The real question is: as the number goes up, is it possible to see the coup already happened?
Peter St Onge, Ph.D.@profstonge

The biggest shock with Bitcoin is after 15 years the State never showed up. I thought the boss battle would come in 2011, 2013, 2015... I never got off its fat ass to even try. And now it may be too late. Comparable is the internet; if the State could've seen the future it'd have hobbled it. They didn't.

For those who feel that the rise of BCH has no substance: A larger block size us the single most substantial prerequisite to the survival of Bitcoin. BCH provides that larger block size. What more info do you need??

The centralisation and control of Bitcoin in the hands of entities like BlackRock & Co are a way bigger threat to its future than quantum computers. These threats could present themselves in the next few years - not the next few decades.

History is the final judge of a man's action, and history has absolved Roger. Bitcoin Core asserted complete control of Bitcoin, squatted it for many years and drove it into the ground. They said "blockchain is not a democracy" and "this is a pure technical issue". I was a core Bitcoin dev from 2010-2015. The 'tech issue' was very simple that even your grandmother could understand. They censored and forced their views. Why not let the community decide? Because they would have to respect their users. They would have to listen to people. They would have to explain why. They would have to compete in a free market. Instead what we have now is small block Bitcoin communism. The people in charge are doing a shit job and should be fired. Bitcoin needs new forward looking leadership. I long left the community in anger over the cringey influencers squatting on Bitcoin. The SEC targets crypto people. We need to stand firm together as a shield wall and defend every person. It's psyop when people say "Roger did this or that to me". Cry harder. We all had fights years ago and even Roger sued me for $2m, but that doesn't matter now since we are all libertarians and must stick together. Crypto is under attack. We lost the battle, but not the war. Time to regroup and win the victory of 2025. On all sides impostors are sucking money from retail with scams. The current leaders in crypto have betrayed the vision of what crypto should have been. As Satoshi said: "we can win a major battle in the arms race and gain a new territory of freedom for several years." We need unity, not division among libertarians so we can win. We need all our people out of jail: Ross, Roman, Roger. Roger's been vindicated by history. The impostors to the throne are driven in shame from the world stage. Time to take back crypto.

@cyphergenesisAI @BitMEXResearch So if Segwit is so magical why did all retailers stop using BTC for payment ? Why does it still cost $4 for a transaction ? What benefit does segwit have over raising blocksize by 1mb ? (I've kept all my BTC and BCH since the fork so I'm not concerned with price or shilling BCH)

@GhostofBTC @BitMEXResearch look at that beautiful 97% segwit adoption curve. nature doesn't scale by brute force - it evolves through elegant solutions. your blocksize fork died because it tried fighting mathematics. we transcended by becoming the math

Worth also noting that: 1. SegWit has been a huge success, now accounting for around 97% of all transactions. Certainly not a failure for Bitcoin Core 2. Taproot is also proving to be a success. with over 100,000 BTC stored in Taproot addresses and growing fast Most of the very legitimate issues that @Narodism seems to have a problem with, like too much excitment and hope about investments in Bitcoin from $MSTR and Blackrock ETFs, and too much focus on price, having NOTHING to do with Bitcoin Core developers

@SamanthaLaDuc Please, if you have a wide audience, try to differentiate between Bitcoin and Ethereum. BTC is a commodity, "digital gold." Ethereum is a decentralized network that enables truly innovative applications. You can't use @aave, for example, and then go back to a traditional bank...

I am grateful to see @rogerkver receiving well deserved support as he battles the U.S. empire over BS taxation charges. It's unfortunate to see those who are attacking him or making excuses. First, for those not in the "crypto community" or in the Bitcoin community specifically, you might not be aware but there are a group of cultists who call themselves Bitcoin Maximalists who refuse to accept any criticisms of the BTC project. They believe BTC solves everything and can do no wrong. They also tend to focus on profits over principles. Many of these people joined in the last 5-6 years as BTC became mainstream and have no awareness of the original vision and hope of many crypto-anarchists who saw a chance for BTC to be a path towards a non-state, private currency that could defeat the big banks. Unfortunately, the freedom minded BTC crowd lost to the maximalists. These maxis refuse to acknowledge the hijacking and co-opting of BTC by people associated with the Bilderberg Group, intelligence firms, Blackrock and big banks. These maxi influencers tell the BTC community that privacy is meaningless, digital gold not digital cash is the answer, and working with the government is the way. Make no mistake, most of the people following these influencers are not hardcore anarchists, but likely just normies who heard they could get rich. These people likely have never purchased crypto on their own or opened a wallet. They have been taught that self-custody wallets are pointless. Regardless, it is an unfortunate reality that most of the people involved in BTC do not care about privacy and do not understand the anarchist/cypherpunk vision which was part of the origin. Back to Roger... Many of these people have been told that Roger attempted to destroy the BTC project and that he is the devil incarnate. Because of the cult mentality they attack him despite the fact that the U.S. empire is trying to put him in prison for the rest of his life. Roger used his BTC wealth to promote a variety of causes related to voluntaryism. He saw BTC as another method for promoting the voluntaryist philosophy. He supported Ross Ulbricht. He supported Julian Assange. He also funded two of my U.S. speaking tours in 2017 and 2018 because he believed in my efforts to promote decentralization, localization, and the creation of parallel systems. Whatever people think about Roger's actions within the BTC community, he is a legitimate proponent, advocate, and fighter for liberty. He deserves to be free. #FreeRoger P.S. - I wrote this song "Free the Warriors" about Ross, Roger and other warriors. x.com/DBrozeLiveFree…
