Whoever has shared these pictures will go to heaven straight. If you've ever taken a flight from Nairobi to Kisumu, you must have noticed that giant blue-roofed factory billowing smoke to the right of your picture. That poignant picture always comes to your view - and you need to pay attention next time you enter the Kisumu County airspace - immediately the landing gear compartment of your commercial aircraft opens up and the wheels begin to come down. That is the Keda Ceramics Factory, owned and operated by a Chinese conglomerate. They manufacture roofing, floor and wall tiles - for household and commercial use. While my umbilical cord was buried in Seme and my bones will be interred there for safekeeping when the bell finally tolls, it is this nostalgic place in your picture where I was taught how to read and write. My father, a newly-recruited civil servant for the Customs & Excise Department, was first posted at Miwani Sugar Company where he moved us from the village to test our brains with the best of the children of skilled immigrants converging at Miwani town - Miwani Ward, Muhoroni Constituency, Kisumu County. To the front left of your picture is Ramogi Estate - Ramogi Single and Ramogi Double. Hidden from view, across the right (if you can see that blooming Jacaranda tree) is St Martin De Porres Miwani Catholic Church - our church, where I received my first Holy Communion and acted as Angel Gabriel every December for our drama club during Christmas. The estate next to the nestling trees is RIAT, and if your eyes are microscopic enough that red-bricked building to the end of the estate is the Miwani PAG Church. Jua Kali Market, is in the middle ground to your left and opposite it is the Miwani Police Station (partly hidden under trees). If you forget everything you see here, do not forget that straight tarmac road cutting through the sugarcane greenery stretching as far as your eyes can see. Everyone who grew up in Miwani knows this road like the back of their hands. Running in excess of 120kms it has its foot at the Mamboleo roundabout in Kisumu City, cutting through Wathorego, Guba, Great Lakes University, Kibos, Jagir Sing, Miwani Secondary School, Karunga, Daraja Mau Mau, Miwani, Kibigori, Chepsweta, and onwards to the Chemelil Roundabout. Nairobi travelers perennially frustrated by the traffic snarl-ups along the Muhoroni, Awasi, and Ahero stretch would be comforted if we told them this road will offer you the much needed relief, as well as killing you with therapeutic scenery while at it. Of all the trunk roads in Luo Nyanza that are currently under construction, this one will unlock a new level of economic boom, harmless travel and local tourism marvel. If those of us who grew up in the Muhoroni sugar belt sound excited seeing this long-abandoned highway getting an extreme makeover, it is because we're the ones who know the pains we went through crashing our backs on crater-sized potholes, while dodging cane trucks hanging precariously on one side. We will talk about Miwani for times on end. We will go back to Miwani to see it with our very own eyes.

And because they don’t teach you this unifasti,I will teach you. If you have a business Idea and you are having a hard time fishing potential Investors who will take you seriously, ingia Tahmeed, and go look for a mzungu in Mtwapa. Tafuta mzungu umlipe, alafu pale kwa pitching useme yeye ni co founder. You see,the typical african,Educated or Uneducated, has been systematically brought up to look upto the mzungu. In every decision he makes in his/her life he weighs it upon what mzungus do abroad Anything the mzungu does, the African man will consider it as worthy of his time or investment. Sahii ata wazungu wakiacha kuenda choo, wakuwe wanakumia kwa sink, there are Africans who will start doing that. They want to be involved with the mzungu. In the African mind, the mzungu is always right. Thats why We had icons like Vybz kartel bleaching, juu wanataka kukaa wazungu And Men like pastor Owuor know this, ndio maana kwa hii congregation yake unaskianga amesema “we have friends who have come all the way from Texas to listen to the word of God”. Mwafrika akiskia hivo anafrai sana. Anajua i am in the right place. Kumbe ni machokoraa waliokotwa huko chicago wakaoshwa na wakalipiwa fare. Buana they will never teach you this in unifasti Khabusie!

For our brethren in ODM, the overpriced Rironi-Mau Summit road that Ruto launched does not extend to Kisumu. Can someone share with us the plans where the road reaches to Kisumu? And when will that part be constructed. Kasongo ni muongo 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Betraying the Gen Z cost him his life. The same fate awaits all other traitors and infiltrators. Good riddance Raila Odinga.
Francis Gaitho@FGaitho237

The price of treachery is DEATH! Just last year, aging orangutan and senile old bastard @RailaOdinga was a strong and fit man, as seen at Kalonzo Musyoka’s son wedding on May 15th 2024. But exactly a year later, he’s using a cane and the health of his legs has really deteriorated. Betraying the country has come at great cost to him and the stress of losing street-cred is devouring him from the inside. From Baba to Umbwa real quick.
