The first two weeks of work on building Phoenix Library, the first library in Gaza after the genocide. An empty space, learning once more how to breathe. We build deliberately, with tired hands and a quiet, unwavering conviction that knowledge still belongs here. Thank you to our friends, and to everyone who believes in this project and chooses to walk this path with us. These images document our first two weeks. What lies ahead is more.. and more beautiful. I ask everyone to join us in building the first library in Gaza after the genocide through the campaign link. chuffed.org/project/firstg…

Oh @SamHersh01 … you won’t even let people comment on your hate … the only Jewish candidate has fuelled Jew hatred. That is on him. And you. Your hate is real …. And it makes life unsafe for Jews here in Canada.

Look who had the chutzpah to show up to the #Vancouver #Chanukah event this evening? @DonDavies thought it was a good idea to show his anti Zionist Jew hating face at a holiday event that celebrates reclaiming our historic lands in Israel - the crowd ‘booed’ his hypocrisy. @NDP

B’nai Brith Canada was recently made aware of a display at Toronto's Main Street Library titled "Israel-Palestine Conflict," which presented a biased and unbalanced anti-Israel perspective. The display also inappropriately included a poem titled "If I Must Die," which glorifies martyrdom. Upon discovering this, we immediately reached out to the Toronto Public Library (TPL) to express our concerns about the lack of balance and the inappropriate content within the display, requesting that it be amended. We are pleased to report that the TPL has taken prompt action in response to our concerns. The TPL have committed to adjusting the display to ensure it contains an accurate representation of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Additionally, the poem "If I Must Die" will be removed from the display. The TPL has also assured us that they will continue to ensure accuracy in their materials and displays moving forward. This is a positive step towards ensuring that all community members feel represented and respected. We will keep a close eye on the situation and continue to update our community on any further developments. @torontolibrary #israel #israelhamaswar #toronto #torontopubliclibrary
