If there were any situation (such as outside on a warm day) where the external temperature COULD reach 55C for an extended period, it would not pass this and likely not get listing status in the US and EU markets. @CanuckCreator @jakkuh_t There are extremely strict requirements for external temperatures on devices, especially so on metal cases and high touch points (EG phone screens). It takes much lower temperatures than people would expect to cause burns if exposed to for an extended period of time.

Putting a 2mm thermal pad on top of the processor in the MacBook Neo = 10-15% higher multicore performance (@ 1-2W higher power) highly recommend

@JLCPCB @PCBWayOfficial I have spent over $20k in less than a year with JLCPCB and really enjoy their service. But no one is going to willingly spend 40% more for no reason. I recommend using PCBWay until JLC fixes their stuff. (Not sponsored or anything, just taking my money where it makes most sense)

So @JLCPCB is refusing to update the tariff rate for DDP orders, despite it being reduced by 40%. The real kicker is for orders over $60, they dont offer other shipping. I need to place a $2800 order, and they want to charge $1100 in extra fees. @PCBWayOfficial doesnt 🤷

Yeah 4 was about the threshold where I stopped doing that. It was convenient during packing, but a unique envelope per SKU means I’ve doubled the product I need to keep inventory on, space for, and plan purchases for. One slip up from the print house and suddenly I can’t ship product. Now I am down to 2 envelopes with optional “just for fun” variants when I feel like it.

If you’re going to have a physical product oriented business, definitely plan on having kids like 10 years beforehand so they’ll be old enough to help 😂 As great as this upgrade looks, the feeder (top half) needs constant babysitting. I now have my kids feeding envelopes into the labeler (bottom half) instead. The 2 of them actually fight over who gets to do this part of the work too.

Oh and yeah don't post production files for stuff like this if you live in the US, this is straight up an ITAR birthday cake. It's functionally useless but technically satisfies the requirements of a controlled system so 🤷

Kinda surprised the "<$100 MANPADS" is getting the traction it is. Theres some good engineering and development there but its clear the hardware as released is already exceeding its functional limits/capabilities. Everyone saying its a threat and the dude's gonna get it are goofy

That is one heck of an EFP. And a bit of solar too? Good for perch and stare/ambush, as well as potentially a relay if equipped with mesh radios

@will_whang @Ascii211 actually dont do use the "My @UPS Account" at @JLCPCB checkout. While the tariffs are correct this way (unlike JLC's options), they will pick the most expensive shipping option without telling or asking you, and then UPS tacks on extra fees on top. Dumb.
