President Ramaphosa says SA enters 2026 with “renewed hope” and promises more government action to solve the country’s challenges. He doesn't seem to understand that his remedy to the crisis is, in actual fact, the source thereof. SA doesn’t suffer from too little government intervention — it suffers from too much. The solution isn’t more central control. It’s decentralisation, community freedom, and self-governance.
