Everyone says Nigeria needs a different kind of leader, but when someone like Peter Obi talks about cutting waste, accountability, and measurable governance, the same people suddenly say he is “too simple” or “not aggressive enough.” So the real question is, Do Nigerians actually want change, or do they just want a different person doing the same old politics?

Today on my show, I challenged Nigeria for not producing its own fighter jet. In case you don’t know, to develop the JF Thunder fighter jet, Pakistan and China spent 250 million dollars each. Just for your information, President Tinubu spent 150 million dollars to buy a Tokunbo plane. For the ignorant ones, it’s not that Nigeria can’t develop its own fighter jet; we just have leaders that prioritise waste over development.

I write to formally report an incident that occurred when I attempted to collect my Permanent Voter Card (PVC) at the INEC collection centre located at Isheri Ikorun in Lagos State. After presenting my voter registration slip and valid identification, the attending official refused to release my PVC. During this hot interaction, the official made the following statements in my presence and in the presence of other Igbos: “We will not release this PVC to you because you are Igbo.” “How will I release this PVC and you will vote against APC?” I found these statements deeply concerning. As a registered voter, I understand that PVC collection should be handled without discrimination or political consideration.”

WHY TECH COMPANIES FAIL: 1. They treat customers as nerd MIT students. Because they understand what they are building, they think everyone else does too. Well, that is your business, the average market woman does not give a shit about that, nor understands what you are saying. They just want to be able to send and receive messages easily on an app easily accessible and aesthetically enticing. The minute you open telegram you want to run away and switch to WhatsApp and text your friend because the UI is horrible. 2. They build infrastructures for some people and not for the people. There are more dumb people on earth than smart people and your money is in the hands of the dumb majority. If the product is not designed to appeal and make sense to the average human with no advanced education it will fail. This is why only 9.9% of the world population uses Crypto because my grandmother would rather go to the bank than write down 12 words passphrase in the name of 'Custody of your money' Again UI/UX failures. Can the average person use blockchain technology without knowing they are using blockchain technology? That is a breakthrough! 3. Overly Confident in the Technology: "Oh if the tech is good users will come." False! Marketing sells products not usecase. That is why Coca-Cola sells better than lemon juice. In fact, a horrible product properly marketed will outsell the most groundbreaking innovation. Conclusion: Stop building products for those who can understand it, those who understand tech spend time reading books, they don't have money. Build products for the ordinary, everyday people and market them in a way that they feel like a part of it. Finally Web 3 social media cannot scale right now. Good innovation, bad timing, bad product. Nobody but me and the 11 people in your Discord group cares about data ownership and decentralisation. The rest of the people do not. Everyone just wants to be able to make a viral post. If a social media platform pops up today and new users can make viral posts and get enormous reach, it will scale. Social media users are mostly writers, content creators and every writer and content creator just wants to be heard and seen not own their data. Just a basic properly executed algorithm that spreads information faster to other users is what is needed. End!
