Watched Kantara Part 1 yesterday ⭐ 6/10 – Honest Opinion Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 is a film that carries immense ambition but struggles to deliver a consistent cinematic experience. The first half was good, it sets an intriguing tone with its spiritual undertones, and visually striking sequences. However, the narrative loses grip as the film progresses. Rishab Shetty’s direction and performance is the saviour and the peak of the movie, the screenplay feels uneven weighed down by multiple threads that don’t fully connect. What begins as a powerful folklore-driven story slowly drifts into confusion, with some scenes feeling stretched and emotionally hollow. Overall, Kantara: Chapter 1 has strong intent and spiritual depth but falls short of the cohesiveness and impact that the original Kantara delivered.
