Once you start pushing against the insanity, you realize how flimsy it is. I'd compare it to Scientology. In the 1990s everyone was terrified to criticize it, assuming they'd be sued into oblivion. Fast-forward to now, and kids are speed-running their HQs for fun.

At a public talk a few months ago, I had a dad from a conservative area of Calgary tell me they're letting boys into the girls soccer league and there was nothing he could do about it. I'm guessing 100% of parents hated the policy, and he still felt demoralized and helpless.

Normal Canadians are so unused to exercising personal power that they do not even realize the levers that are at their control. This is a country where letter-writing campaigns still work, and only the nutbag side ever does it.

@KerryLynneFindl, will you do the same? And will you take the lie of "gender identity" and "gender expression out of our BC Human Rights Code? Humans are an immutably-sexed species.

EXCLUSIVE: BC Conservative leadership candidate @yuri_fulmer tells me he would use the Notwithstanding Clause to ban transgender surgeries for minors and ban biological males from women’s spaces. "I'll do anything to protect kids."

@JoySYEG @michaeltaube @thetaxpayer1 Yikes, I didn’t realize he’s Gen X, how embarrassing. This is what an immature narcissist failing upwards his whole life looks like. Remember people kind? Why interrupt to make up a word? We have one, it’s humankind. Based on this I think Butts did his speeches AND homework.

@michaeltaube @thetaxpayer1 He’ll be 55 this year. Most 30 yo’s speak with better knowledge, better diction, more care, speaking on topic better than this embarrassment. He strikes me as someone who isn’t accepting his age & is trying to fit in with his kids friends. Thank God he’s in the rear view mirror

Balsa wood is used as a key component in wind turbine blades. The Amazon rainforest – the lungs of the planet, is being destroyed to supply balsa wood for wind turbines - with a devastating impact on the indigenous people of the Ecuadorian Amazon. How is this ‘saving the planet’?

No money for healthcare. No money for veterans. No money for seniors. But Carney found the budget to fast track identity changes for trans refugees. A $100M priority. Skipping the process every other Canadian goes through. First one arrived in December. IRCC won’t say how many since. Nobody voted for this.

Nobody denies that there were residential schools. They made a documentary that exposes -- quite rightly-- the lie that there were 215 children killed and buried at Kamloops Residential School. There is not even a list of 215 children's names. There was $12 million of BC Taxpayer's dollars given to the band to excavate. There has been no excavation. ZERO bodies have been found because it's a grift, a hoax.

My nephew is trans. He started telling us at about age 3 that he was a little boy, not a little girl, and he wanted to be called "son" by his dad. No one ever suggested this to him or encouraged him to do it despite him not wanting to. We all just said "sure if that's what you want" and didn't fight him on it. He'll be 18 soon and still living as a boy. Trans kids exist. They deserve to live safely.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon brought dignity, wisdom, and compassion to the role of Governor General at a time when Canada needed steady leadership and reflection. As the first Indigenous person to serve as Governor General, she helped our country move forward with greater honesty about our past and greater hope for our future. She carried the stories, strength, and perspectives of Inuit communities into Rideau Hall and into the heart of our national conversations. Over these years, Canadians saw a leader who listened deeply, served humbly, and reminded us that reconciliation is not a destination, but a responsibility. To me, you were a source of deep wisdom, an insightful, compassionate elder, and a good friend. As was Whit. Thank you, Mary, for your service to Canada and for helping shape a more inclusive and compassionate country for generations to come. Nakurmiik, Ningiukudluk.

Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms
The Justice Centre announces that the Federal Court has dismissed the Federal Government’s motion to strike a constitutional challenge brought by Canadian Women’s Sex-Based Rights (CAWSBAR) and has also granted CAWSBAR public interest standing to proceed with the case on behalf of federally incarcerated women. The constitutional challenge concerns Correctional Service Canada’s Commissioner’s Directive 100: Gender Diverse Offenders, which permits the transfer of trans-identifying male inmates into women’s federal prisons. Lawyers funded by the Justice Centre filed the claim on behalf of CAWSBAR in April 2025. Read the full story here: jccf.ca/federal-court-…

@alexbrown17 No standing and eating in public, take your garbage home with you, do not for any reason sit in the elderly/handicapped seats on public transit. It starts in elementary school where children clean their own classrooms and school lunches are healthy and prepared with pride.

There are the obvious parts about Japan that you expect to radicalize you further against Western decline (the in-check immigration, law and order, etc.), and then there are the little things—like no sweatpants in public. Sartorial give-a-shit matters. It makes leaving the house not feel relentlessly demoralizing. In truth, there are no little things. Countries don’t survive without minding the details.

One more thought on the CBC residential school prank story: I've taught enough Indigenous kids and worked with enough Indigenous families to be persuaded that the Indian Residential Schools remain a genuine source of pain for many, many people, notwithstanding all the nuances in their histories. (I'm thinking of a man I knew who attributed his own alcoholism to the pain of child separation in an IRS, but who still insisted his granddaughter go to Catholic school and make her first communion--people are complex). Because I recognize this is such a source of pain, I would have the judgment not to make a whole sketch comedy routine about it or crack jokes featuring the supposed shoes of kids who'd died. That the CBC's team lacked that judgment shows how too many within it see this issue: not as a source of pain and complexity, but as a tool they can use to make fun of those with whom they disagree. It's insulting and instrumentalizing, not thoughtful or even clever, and it shows just how unserious they are about Indigenous people and our shared history.

Interesting little coincidence. The Asian Mayor of Arcadia California, just admitted being an agent of the Chinese government. One of the things she did, while acting as an agent for China, was to repost an essay that denied slave labour in China. A move that earned her praise from China. Back in March, Michael Ma, the floor crossing MP, during a committee meeting, purposely cast doubt on forced labour in China, when questioning an expert witness. Ma’s clearly adversarial behavior, while questioning the expert, received positive media coverage in China. That’s quite a coincidence if you ask me. Maybe CSIS and the RCMP should be taking a closer look at Michael Ma?

Despite a $120,000 family income, @oliviachow lived in the publicly-subsidized Hazelburn co-op in Toronto and paid $800 a month for a three bedroom + den unit. According to the co-op, she should have been paying hundreds more. Thousands of people were on the waiting lists for the kinds of units Chow occupied. She moved out shortly after getting caught by the media. All of that is verifiably true. And it is considered so damaging, Chow's campaign has done secret focus group research on what to say about it. It reminds us all, inter alia, that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. #topoli
